Angry old man yells at cloud

First off, I had to wait 10 months to receive my high clearance bumper with swingout and jerry can holder, which I can handle, I mean everyone has wait times (although that's a little over the top). So I've had said bumper on my truck since August and I usually leave the jerry can holder in the garage unless I'm on a trip, meaning it has probably spent at most a month attached to the bumper. I am preparing to leave on another trip and the hinges have frozen shut and the weld is just about to break. I am going to have to reweld it and hope it doesn't break again.

In short, over-priced, incredibly long lead times, and poor quality product.

 

Yep, just broke, fucking thin, cheap ass metal. God damn thing is made out of tin foil.

Don’t badmouth a company without allowing them a chance to address the issue.

 

If your product is of shit quality, other people need to know about it, I am providing a service. The fact it is wrapped up in emotional language is irrelevant.

Gotta agree with @Just_A_Guy on this one, OP. If you didn’t reach out to @RelentlessFab with the issue before coming into the forum this way, that’s a total dick move.

Sorry you have an issue with a fairly new product, but give the builder first notification and a chance to rectify the situation.

 

I don't think you understand, there is no rectifying the situation here, I don't want another jerry can holder so reaching out to the vendor is pointless. I want other folks to know what's happened.

Let me also provide a service. I had a Relentless Predator on my 97 4Runner for 6 years before I sold it. In those 6 years it's been beat to shit on most every hard trail in Cali. Bashed into rocks, winched 1000's of feet of line, been pulled out by it and have pulled people out with it. It's been beat on more then most ever will. It never bent, broke or failed. It was rock fucking solid. 10/10. Would buy again.

 

Gather all the facts before bashing a company.

If they make a shitty product and tell you to get lost when you complain, then you write a professional review with evidence.

No, actually I have been taking it off my truck when I'm not actively on a trip carrying jerry cans and leaving it in my garage. For all intents and purposes, it is practically brand new.

 

I may not agree with how the OP handled this situation however this is just the times we live in right now. People have a bad experience with a restaurant they just on yelp and write a bad review regardless of the situation. They don’t go back with the hopes the restaurant makes it right. My wife and I own a marketing company and the last few years have been brutal when it come to negative reviews. People just want to complain and have others hear it. What I think is mind numbing is that people with no skin in the game will come to this thread and argue about it. I am sure this one post will not sway people from buying from relentless. Especially how the OP worded it. However, even if the OP was nice, calm and was tiring to find a solution the mob mentality will come into this and I am sure the thread will be locked soon.
