The cig lighter keeps falling out of it's socket. How to fix?

I don't smoke, never have, made a good choice when I was young and stupid. Wish all my choices were as good.

I'm not attached to a cell phone or pad or any connected device.

Actually, I don't need or use the cig lighter. Although, I do get annoyed with constantly putting it back in it's socket. If I don't, the FN thing rattles around in the center console.

Replace it with a USB charger. (The plug in part, not the whole socket)
Mine never stayed in after the first week.

I actually have a voltmeter plugged into mine. I like info.
But, USB chargers seem to be the go-to.

Nevermind their fingers, it's the old bubblegum or garbage that they'll put in there.

She sits in the front seat and pushes all the buttons and switches. Had to jump it 2 days ago because she turned the headlight switch on and i didn't notice lol

Neat. I didn't know such doodads were available.

Did a little hunting on Amazon. There is a 2 piece set that would work nicely. The cover for the power outlet keeps falling off. The set would satisfy capping off both holes.

    Thanks all.

Now, back to more impotent stuff like A55HOLE Parking or Eye of Sauron or "My truck won't tow"

    Simple solution:
Use a flat blade screw driver to bend out the tabs
    Complicated solution:
Stick your tongue into the slot to check the diameter and use it as a template to find the correct fit for the lighter

    Thanks for the tips.

But I think my tongue will stay where it belongs..... in me mouth or exciting me wife.

Not gonna be poking a screwdriver in the socket. Its live all the time. Too easy to create a short, then chase blown fuse.
