The drivers buckle in my 13 taco has developed an annoying squeak. Seemingly any movement, like shifting, will cause it. I've sprayed just a tiny bit of silicon in it and it goes away for a week or two. I don't know how friendly the silicon is on it, especially since there is a switch in there somewhere.

Anyone else experience this squeak? Any fix more permanent? In the meantime I've just made the radio louder.

I found this older thread where they go over this exact issue... looks like they never got to the bottom of it. To me it really seems that the noise originates on the metal part of the buckle.

I have a creak in the B pillar too which is also mentioned in that thread but that one I think will be easier to chase down. My power window switch block also has a creak that I've been meaning to tend to. I know it's a truck and all, but squeaks and rattles drive me nuts!
