That's my wondering right now also. How does this differ than other people who meet up with 10-20 wheelers for a planned day/weekend? Which I've tagged along on a few...

I would agree with this statement. We have no formal organization, no money is exchanged hands in the form of dues, nor do we have a true roster. As far as I know, we don't meet the criteria for being defined as a club via legal terms. I believe they misunderstood who we are and I believe the true matter is that we really can't apply for event status. I've never had to apply for a permit to hold a family reunion. Our intention of notifying them was to ensure we weren't congesting the area, and giving others notification that traffic in the area may be greater.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
Ok, I'm out for the TW meet.

I will, however, be at TSF the morning of Friday 6/10 to do some camping for the weekend (I'll be paying for the site for the duration of my stay) and a little bit of trail running.

I certainly don't need all of the site room that'll be available (I'm going to try and get the same spot as last year as it's first come, first served). If any of my friends want to stop by and hang out for a day or 3, you're more than welcome. BYOY.

And Ben don't forget that if you happen to come down, Washington State offroad passes are honored at TSF (unless the posted policy last year has changed) so you don't need to buy a daily Oregon pass.

I wouldn't mind this guy in charge to make an account here so we could all talk to him. Sounds like we were misinterpreted.

I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding. Which would be easy to do. If someone told me "hey we have a group of racomas all meeting up to off road" my first thought would be an organized event. But we are more the "hey we have a large group of friends who all happen to drive tacomas planning to meet up and don't want to congest an organized event"

Yes, we're still on for that weekend (6/10-6/12). Been pretty busy, but here's the latest info. after speaking with Jahmaal w/ the FSD down there:

The date as of now will be JUNE 10-12, 2016

So in order for us to have our group run, there are a few things we must do:
    1. We CANNOT, I REPEAT, CANNOT post this thread/invite other forums/promote this in ANY WAY other than this thread here/tacomaworld. If you are caught doing so, you will be removed from the roster we create and will be asked to not attend this group run. This is asked by the forest dept and we are gladly going to follow there request.

    2. We will need a roster of those who are wanting to attend. This as of now is just tentative and can change up until the event. The forest dept asked us to do so, and again we are doing as they request. Once we get closer we will submit a more up to date roster the TSF, if you add/remove yourself before the trip its not a huge deal. We want to get a list of the ones who are committed when the time comes to submit the roster.

    3. We were asked to keep the group size to 10 or less trucks per group on the trail. If we have more than that, we must split into separate groups in order to abide by the regulations set forth to us.
      • Any additional vehicles require their own run leader and campsite so we maintain the 10 per group policy
      • Due to the restriction, we ask that the vehicle list is limited to trail-capable vehicles only.

        To assist,
        • Chickenmunga has offered parking in front of his house in Hillsboro for the first two stock vehicles that would like to park and carpool. He lives on a cul-de-sac, so leaving your vehicle is pretty safe from damage or theft. Please make arrangements with him once you are confirmed.
        • Additional stock vehicles who want to camp would need to coordinate with their run leader if there is extra campsite parking for you. If you are stock and won't be camping, you can park in day use.

    ***
    NOTE:
This is a wheeling event, if you have a pure stock taco, odds are your spending most of the time on gravel roads or riding with someone. This isn't a class for the most part. We don't plan this to spend our own time teaching you how to off-road, please gather that info/practice beforehand.***

This is what we have for now, more info can be found in the OP and also posts following this as we get closer to the group run. That info mainly will pertain to the area, etiquette, supplies to bring, funds, and more.

We have 2 spots potentially left unless I missed someone from the previous few pages. Please add yourself to this list.

Looking at the above stuff, the list will need to be done at 10 so we can camp together. If we have more, we will just have to get there early for camping spots.
