    Yes he see that i keyed up and he hears a buzz when I talk. Yes all my swr #'s are 1.5 or less. I put a mic on mine from another cb and we still got the same buzz coming across. Ill probably be able to hook up in his sometime this week and we can see what happens.

    What about the carrier? When you key up, does the needle (or signal strength indicator)in your buddy's CB move to the high end?
    If not then you have a short to ground in your antenna.
    Do the swap in your buddy's truck and we'll see.

    Illl get back to you sometime this week when Im able to get with him after i do a swap. I do belive his cb recognized that i keyed up by his signal strength indicator moving to the high end.
