So I've read up on HID's a few times. But I don't even know what to go for. Some are bouncing or vibrating, some with relays and harnesses, others without.
What are you running AND LIKE? And also how close is the color to the DRL LED strip?
Pictures will be very much appreciated! And all info and price!
    Thank you.

I am running the XenonDepot kit with no bounce at all. I did 5k and they match the DRLs perfect.

I went with a CanBus from DDM Tuning and love them! I had to adjust them over a period of 3-4 days to get them where I wanted, but they are awesome! Easy install overall, just plug and play.

I also matched the fogs and ended up going with an LED for the high beams so they don't have to warm up.

Simple, clean, easy install, functional, and they look really good. Only downside, I had to wait about 10 days for my order as they shipped from China.

I'll see if I can post a pic up of the truck later tonight after it gets dark....Total was $231 for everything. Here is a photo of the order...hope it helps.

    upload_2017-3-30_11-46-44.jpg

EDIT: I have super white as well and they look really good with it...just a hint of blue in them, but not over the top with the 5500k

Yeah I ran into your thread but then all the comments lost me lol
But thank you! On my last truck the color was off from the strip and it bugged the hell out of me. So I'll wait for pics :)

Very bright. Color is white. Matches DRLs fine but it's worth noting that the DRLs dim when the headlights turn on so it's not super important for them to match. You won't notice if they don't. They do noticeably shake in certain situations. Doesn't bother me though and I rarely notice it. Seems most noticeable at dusk when you can only really see the brightest main beam of the lights - that is the only part that actually shakes. It's not noticeable when its completely dark out.

See I had a GMC Sierra for 6 months, and it was definitely noticeable, and those also dimmed when the headlight came on

I did the Morimoto Tacoma specific 35w 5500K Hid Kit in the Low beams and the Morimoto 2 stroke in the fog lights and I am liking the out put, and they seem to match pretty well.

Don't run the Morimoto's if you are concerned about bounce.

I haven't noticed any bounce, I know they offer a different grommet for the bulb.

is there a noticeable difference in 4300k and 5000k temp color? i was on xenondepot and debating the phillips 4300k or regular 5000k to match the led fogs on my pro.

I have run the HID kits from Diode Dynamics in multiple cars, I haven't had any issues with them at all...including the 6k kit in my Taco.

Thanks man and no problem at all. I'm glad I could be of some help with my limited knowledge. There are sooo many great posters and tinkerers on here, so, take your time and decide what is best for you and your wallet!!!

Now, I did not have a level enough space to properly align the beams, so, it took me a couple days to get them where I needed them. I honestly don't like blinding people, so, I wanted to make sure the beams were not too high. I also do not run the fogs in the city as they are super bright....I live out in the county, so, when I'm on the back roads I'll turn them on. Hi beams are almost not even needed at this point, but they are there.

Also, I think you can call DDM as well...they may have something in stock and if they do, I would ask if they could ship from California. And always ask for a discount, it never hurts to ask.

Enjoy your week off! :taco: I know I will be enjoying next week, as my wheels are finally coming!!! :taco:
