Well I got sick and tired of the stupid 6 speed auto trans and it's erratic shifting and constantly trying to be a gear or two too high. The final straw was a 1000 mile road trip last week.

Traded the Taco in on a 16 4Runner. Luckily the Taco held some value on the trade.

The 16 T4R is a nice ride. The miles on my taco used to grow alot faster because I didnt like to drive her old car on road trips. Now she hates me because we take her T4R everywhere and putting miles on her ride.

Imagine driving a tacoma, with better brakes, a touch more power but lower in the revs, less gear shifting, better suspension and you have to swing your arm a bit harder to toss your beer cans out the rear window.

Too soon to really tell, but the engine and trans feels a lot like my wife's 15 Highlander. Which works really well.

I test drove a 4Runner when we bought the Taco. I thought it drove like a big heavy car. Nice and comfy. Definitely a mommy mobile. But it wasn't a truck.
    Enjoy yours.

The T4R does not feel like it has more power. I've driven a few, as loaners (thanks 3rd gen!), But they've never felt more powerful. The Tacoma pulls harder and accelerates faster. The T4R shifts like a vehicle should. So I'll give it that. But it feels like a boat getting up to speed.

    Congrats on the move

    New Pro 4R are hot

Which model did you get? Since the 4R has two diff faces we need the front view. Hope you got the angry face and not the ugly limited chrome buck tooth one

    Made in Japan FTW!!!
