Another OV tune question.

I just purchased the basic vforest tune. I haven’t received it yet. All the research I’ve done at there website, seems it is as easy as dumping their program in my truck. Does this sound right?

 

Check the main VF thread. I've been using the tunes since the beginning and yeah it's pretty much a two minute flash and you're good to go.

 

I have the Trd cold air intake on my truck as well. Will the basic tune be upset by that’s?

 

your truck had a stock cold air intake. But no, other than sound, it won’t change anything. You’re good

 

You're fine. Just get started on the pre-registration stuff and wait for your kit to arrive.

 

When I try to install the pc5 flash to get my system id, it keeps saying it has a virus. Did anybody else have this problem?

 

Yep. You'll have to make an exception for Windows Defender and any other anti-virus stuff you have. OVTune has some security stuff in their code, and the virus software blocks it. It's a known thing and we all create the exceptions.
