That only applies to the judicial district, as the U.S. District Court in San Francisco ruled for the defendant (surprised?) In any event it looks like it will be going up to the Supreme Court now...

His uniform is Army Dress Blues and has the rank of Staff Sergeant. This is a uniform that we used for formal occasions. We also had the Class A's (Green) uniform. A couple of years ago the Army did away with the Class A's, made a few changes to the Dress Blues and called them the "Army Service Uniform". LINK

There are comments on "This Ain't Hell" website that says this guy actually served and now works as a contractor. There is still no excuse for wearing a Dress Uniform to a Casino anytime, let alone after you are out, looking like a dirt bag with your hands in your pockets, and wearing ribbons that you didn't earn.

The old Dress Blues for Enlisted and NCO's also had a gold strip down the leg. The Class A's didn't. Officers had a black stripe down each leg and General Officers had two thin ones.

This is me on the right wearing Dress Blues and my friend on the left wearing the Army Blue Mess Uniform. I never wore the new Army Service Uniform, nor would I have wanted to. I think it looks like crap.

My mistake on the stripe. I thought it was part of the add for the conversion from blues to ASU for the NCOs. I think the E4 and below don't wear it.
Either way, thanks for your service and what you do/did.
    And shame on the poser.

    Thanks GUYS!!!!!!!!!!
Not many people my age served--54years young. Best thing I ever did. Even if it was only four years. Straightened my ass right out. It would benefit many-MOST.

The Uniform as has been stated is the Army Service Uniform. The basic uniform minus the hands in the pocket is correct in terms of the rank, service stripes, and nco pant stripe. The oddities are all in the ribbons and the lack of a former wartime service patch, which is now a pin-on badge on the right breast pocket that is missing when compared to the ribbons. I have served 17 years in the air force and am now on my 6th year in the army, so most of the ribbons are familiar to me. The lower row of ribbons are all National Guard ribbons. The second highest visible ribbon appears to be an air force outstanding unit award which should be on his right side if authorized (there are strict criteria for changing branch's). Then as was also previously mentioned the liberation of Kuwait medal was only authorized for a specified time period right at the gulf war. This would conflict with his service stripes. Simply being in Kuwait now does not authorize the liberation of Kuwait medal. I could dig in further but why bother; some of the oddities are explainable by switching branch's of service as I did, but there are still many things wrong. Whether it be ignorance or arrogence there is no excuse.

Maybe it has been said already but you can get another services ribbons awarded to you. I got out of the Army and a few years into the Air Force, got an Army Commendation Medal for supporting a huge exercise. When I was in the Army, you had to hurl yourself on a grenade to get anything!

    In other news...ass clown.

Here is another one named name Jason Truitt. His claim to have been a Navy SEAL with 7 tours who was wounded 11 times and a POW twice got him a free hunting trip and a Weatherby rifle from some very nice and well intended people.

Ok..if some dude came to making some wild ass claims and wanted something out of it, I would politely say "With all due respect, I need to confirm your story. We have had a lot of people trying to con us lately so please consider our position. We have actually turned a couple of fakes into the authorities and they are taking this pretty seriously. So, give us a couple of days and then get back with us. Thanks for your understanding."

    Fucktards...

He want to fake a purple heart??? I have a nice axe I can cut his arm off with.... Oh even better, I can take him to an old mine and toss some explosives at him so he can say he got hit with an IED. I am an angry man now, 4 years, 2 deployments, 6 friends.

I've met a couple of SF/SEALS in my life, long after I became a civilian. This idiot looks NOTHING like those guys and worst he doesn't look as good a "Barney Fife"...

When U R from Tampa, SF people are fairly easily found, as Central Command is HQ'd @ Mc Dill AFB.
