Shit man. That's pretty much what mine looked like, but after about a month or 2. After I took them off the truck to reseal them I could literally pour the water out.

You have more resolve than me, I would have already shotgunned them and taped flashlights back in the hole. Here is hoping the 2nd time around gets you exactly what you want.

Did you clean the inside of the headlights with anything? Looks like I see some weird lines in the condensation. When I did mine, I didn't touch the inside at all because I read something saying it's best not to. I did mine about a year ago and from what I remember, I've only had a condensation issue a couple times, and one of them was a couple weeks ago after a heavy rain.

Looks like you didn't seal them yet? If so, then shouldn't be a problem to crack them back open. If you did seal...I would clean and reseal like others have said.

Man... I did. I actually hit them with a little polishing compound. I need to find out what to wash them with after I unseal them. Then I am going to blow them out, and set them in the sun as to not get any water spots or streaks and be done messing in water I can't swim in :fingerscrossed:

Quality stuff drop some info if you have any.

I'm back on the grind right now guys. Gonna pull them apart, set the cutoff, and seal everything back up. Got some ideas with some clamps(lightly) and we'll see where it goes!!

So let me sum this thread up for those of you trying to follow along.....(Or us old dudes who have trouble following along)

OP wants a black out look and super bright headlights.....

Step 1) Put your headlight buckets in your friggen oven and cook at 225 or until no longer chrome...
Step 2) Spray paint your buckets like a high school art project
Step 3) Buy some electronic ballast things
Step 4) Cut, JB weld and duct tape the new, super bright bulbs in place
Step 5) Repeat step 4 several times because they are no longer sealed and are collecting moisture

Step 6) Buy black out/HID conversion off ebay and chalk the whole thing up to a very expensive learning process......

Step 7) Replacement units fail...go back to OEM style headlight buckets after spending 120 bucks at junkyard to replace the ones you wrecked...

Im of course making this post all in jest. I admire the time and effort you guys are putting into this conversion...this kind of creativity is what drives aftermarket production designs.......but dogdamn theres gotta be an easier way.

Yeah it's.. hopefully in its infant stages. I'm gonna go back and clean everything up man. I just wanna document the whole process for all you guys to see.

Got the cutoff straight. There is no way to use the indexing plate without some creativity on your end guys. I will not be using it. I am going to put a few dabs of JB weld on the back on the lock nut and the threads and call it a day.

I'm gonna let the eBay comment slide lol none of this shit is cheap, nor from eBay. Only a dummy does this to eBay heads too.

here's what I did I trim the rubber boot so the adaptor could fit seal tight. also used Butyl Tape to reseal the headlight and to add a safety precaution add a bead of silicon around the headlight. hope that's helpful good luck.
