    Another useless thread... There are many threads out here on ways to make your tailgate secure to protect theft against a$$hole thieves. Since I had the ATH bedside reinforcement brackets, I used a short cable and looped it from the tailgate hinge bracket through the bedside bracket with a lock. May or may not deter thieves who really want it, but it would be more of pain and better than not having anything. If you have any of the bedside brackets, it's an easy and quick way to put another layer of security on that tailgate. The bracket looks funky because of my wall-to-wall carpet, BedRug. Now I just need to install a power door lock in my tailgate.
