Remember that sweet deal on Amazon for the LRV Protecta rubber bed mat ($45+shipping)? Well, i found it on Summit Racing under the Dee Zee name for $39 + $10 shipping. Just looking at the specs, it was identical, then the part number was the bascially the same (different additional prefix for the DZ) and then when I finally received it, it was identical to the pics i had seen online of the LRV. THe best part is that this one is in stock so get 'em while you can! This one fits both the log bed and short bed as it has the molded in line to cut along for you DC SB folks.

    That is a good price.

The OEM mat is definitely not cheap:

Toyota of Dallas Sub Total: $82.60 Dallas, TX 75234
    Estimated Ship: $25.00
    Tax: $0.00
    Total: $107.60

For $49 shipped...I may have to pull the trigger. I'd like to know how this mat compares to the OEM mat. Is it hard to cut? I see you also need to cut out the D-rings...correct? The OEM mat is already cut around the D-rings.

Yes, the cutouts for the factory D-Rings are already there. Regarding the easy of cutting the mat for the short beds, i can't comment on that. The mat is something like 3/8" thick and the "line" that they mold in for the cutting guide is really just a faint line doesn't really penetrate too deep since you wouldn't want it to accidentally start separating along it.

not to many, love it the way it is

it does stink for a while. if you get it,maybe leave it out in the sun for a while and let it outgas. it will probably still smell after that, mine stinks on hot days and I have had it a few months but the smell factor has gone way down from when it was new. really like having it back there to keep things from sliding all over the place

break out the skilsaw and cut it with a fine tooth blade

    should cut it :D

if you can't find a fine tooth, flip the blade around backwards and then cut it. with the high rpms any blade should work though actually

That concerns me. I have an Access Roll-Up tonneau and that creates an oven in my bed. The smell of baked rubber does not interest me.
I would not want my suitcase back there with that smell.
    ...interest retracted.

FWIW...the OEM mat will have the same issue.
