np, might want to use an old saw if you have one because of the rubber build up but I'm sure the saw can be cleaned up if you only have one saw

I know what you mean, no one wants rubber smelling clothes. if you did get one now and let it sit out in the sun the smell would eventually go away.also, your suitcase could be tied up in a plastic garbage bag as well to prevent it from being affected by the smell.

You will be surrounded by a big cloud of nasty smelling smoke using a skillsaw

I used to install rubber mats in horse stalls, they are 3/4" thick and the easiest way to cut them is grab something to use as a straight edge and run a razor knife down it, make a couple passes and then lift the mat and give it a little bend and run the knife in the cut and it will cut through pretty easily

^ that is no fun and to professional , jk

I was going to mention getting the sawz all. :)

these mats are only 3/8 thick and there would not be to much smoke, but you are probably right, just score and snap

^ you could lay the section of the mat to be cut over a 2x4 and set your blade a little deeper than the mat and when you are done you'll have a saw kerf in the 2x4

I have the OEM mat, no smell of rubber after about day 4 with it. I have an extang trifecta, and although it does get hot, I have left clothes in there for a few days and no smell in them without a bag or suitcase. Love it.

Don't over estimate how difficult this will be to cut, just use something sharp. I bought the one from Amazon and cut it with heavy duty kitchen shears.

I bought mine from Amazon. After about a week the smell was gone, and there is nothing Now. And I have a cover on as well.

As for cutting, j just used a regular box cutter blade with the mat hanging off the edge if the truck and a 2x4 as a srtaight edge.

No idea. Summit lists mine as shipped, but isn't providing a tracking number. It just says "Box A (Ohio)." Might be coming from OH, or that might just be noting the Summit Racing warehouse.

4' framing square and a razor knife; 2 minute job, nearly impossible to screw up the mat or any appendage you still have.

i think this is wha ti will order later today...smell of rubber, is not something that worries me. rubber smells, it airs out, i will leave it in the bed and nature will take its course. for half the cost of the stocker, its damn weell worth it imo.

add another "mod" to the list... also to cut it to shape just use a new sharp utility blade or box cutter, laay down a ruler, straight edge, whatever, and slow ong cuts, like drywall, its only rubber, nothing difficult.

my opinion with high spinning saw, is it creates lots of heat and it cause melting which makes teh cust ugly sometimes...
