    Wow yeah I didn't even think of those. +1 Colin :D

    Unfortunately summer is winding down here in the Northeast so sadly the tewb doors probably won't be staying on much longer. I'll do some research over the winter and see what I can rig up for next year. Guess I can just tap into the factory wiring harness and zip tie the wires to the door and then call it a day, should be a pretty easy mod :cool:

    Love the build, to make your door swap easier you can notch the top of your door hinge and leave the top bolt loose while you take all the others off. Then you can slide it off the hinge much easier. I can swap mine in like 20-25 min by myself with that hinge being modified

    Nice truck Anthony. Crawl box is on my very short list. Got a question ...... Is the body lift necessary? Cause dammit I don't wanna gaps and shit everywhere between bumpers and sliders and shit. Haha

    The BL is used to allow the clocking of the t-case. I believe it also allows clearance for the shift linkage. Not necessary but helpful.

    u dont need it to clear shift linkage since there really isnt any. i know with the setup ur tryin to use on urs it might help, but for mine, didnt need it.

    only real reason u would need to have a BL is to clock the tcase to get a flat belly. mines clocked 5 degrees with out BL but not flat bellied. u could do all this with out a BL but u would either need to beat the livin shit out the tunnel, or even cut it out and reshape the floor. If i wanted to get a flat belly, i would have gotten a BL

    Beating the tunnel is no problem. Not like you can see it anyway. Haha and y'all all have 4.0s. Wonder if clearance is any different with a 2.7. And how much ground clearence are you going by clocking it? Any other advantage to doing that? And wouldn't a skid cover it up anyway?

    if u clock it, u can tuck the skids up higher. it just gives u more ground clearance. i know a ocuple trucks that got the tcase up above the frame.

    i dont tthink the 2.7 is going to be any different really but never know. the tcase is still going to be the same as far as i know

    But the trans if different. Just wondering if one sticks down farther then the other. So does the crawl box and fj case sit any lower then the stock tcase and skid? If not then no matter what you are gaining some clearance. I hit that damn thing all the time. Haha also how hard is the install? Is it just bolt up and cut some holes for the sticks or you have to fab up a new crossmember and stuff?

    Thanks man! Might have to try that trick with the notching! It doesn't weaken the hinge I would be a little worried about it splitting at that top part if t was notched :notsure:

    Thanks! Body lift def isn't necessary but it makes the install easier and like said below if you want any chance of clockin the case and keeping the drivers seat in the stock mounting configuration a body lift is the way to go.




    Yeah there's not a whole lot of space in between the tcase and body once you move the case back 8"

    Especially with your setup I think a body left is almost a necessity. With my shift linkage sitting down pretty low being one of the original marlin crawler twin sticks I could have easily fit mine in without the body lift.

    I would think clearancing would be the same. Maybe PM n0rth as he is a 4banger with the Crawlbox as well. I know with mine I gained a good 2-3" of clearance and it allowed me to bolt my ATO skids back up. I plan to cut off the stock crossmember soon though and go for a true flat belly.

    The Fj case would sit exactly like the stock t-case only 8" farther back. It's s full weekend project to do the install between hauling the bitch up there and cutting the holes then fitting the sticks and rewiring shit. Barry made me an additional crossmember to support the crawler that's welded right to the stock crossmember. Full write up is here:
