I used to use the plasma for everything. Until we got a saw. After that it was only used for curves the saw is just sooooo much cleaner. The cheap asses where I work for the time being wouldn’t get a 9” Milwaukee like I was used to they bought a 7 1/4” Makita. I don’t think it would last long but that is one tough little saw I’ve cut 1/2” with it. It takes longer but works. I priced one I think it was under $200

Try a Lenox blade, idk how to spell it, they last quite a while and cut great. I used to run through 16ga like luan

Does this go right on a regular chopsaw (for wood) or are they meant for the metal chop saws?

That's good to know, I guess I can honestly say I've never used a metal circular saw before nor do I know anybody that has one so I just assumed the plasma would be easier. I will add it to my list of tools then, I try to buy a few a month depending on price and stock up slow and steady :)

If you don’t have one look at an elongated air cut off tool those are pretty darn handy also. Just a thought

That would be cool, thanks. I've got plenty of scrap steel to try it out on :D

Damnit now you're making me spend all my moneys! I have seen those as well, and know that one day I will have a use for it and when I need it I won't have it. It's on my list as well to get. I know once I have it I will find many more uses for it wondering how I could have lived without one for so long lol

Taxes were filed last weekend and getting a nice chunk back, so hopefully I can expedite expanding the tool collection .

Sorry you got to ask one of the mods, the OP is banned :cookiemonster:

I only make these suggestions out of experience. I don’t actually have either myself as I have just borrowed them from work when I needed them. I reckon I’ll be buying them myself now as well :bananadead:

Was there a ton of fab work to do this? does this basically allow a lot more down travel? i'm not educated on why inboard mounting shocks has pros or cons TBH haha

I need to do this one day lol.

A few hours of work, nothing too terrible. Worst part was trying to jam the shock in there have to disconnect the leaf from the shackle now to remove the shock since it falls so much further down. It will allow the axle to travel further with a shorter travel shock is the main benefit; with the drawback being that dampening is reduced by the cosine of the angle you are mounting it at.

Yep, somewhere in the archives lol. Also had a full size 80 series axle in the trunk. Honda trunk space is pretty damn roomy once you fold the seats down :D

Fixed a CV axle leak I had earlier today that one of the clamps came off. Noticed that my front wheeler's superbumps are decinigrating lol. Maybe try the plastics guy duro bumps this time around. Anyone have any feedback good or bad on them?

I ditched my superbumps in the front for duro bumps. Same issue. After a while, the superbumps were disintegrated. I only swapped them in November, but, so far so good. Let me know what questions or info you have. Here is a little post I did:

I have the DuroBumps. I like them but I went from stock to those so I can’t compare.

I know @Arcticelf has them and has really hammered them.

I switched from super bumps, to the durobumps, and they are wildly better. Hit em hard enough and you can feel the dual durometer .

Thanks fellas, that makes the decision easy then. Durobumps it is, going to place the order this week. Hopefully that front bumpstop allen key doesn't give me too much troubles on removal!
