We did some fishings yesterday, limited out on fluke and sea bass. Should be eating fat for a couple of days, couple of 2 footer flatties were had :D

Weather was awesome, and the ocean was pretty calm. The captain we go out with knows some of the best spots to fish, we actually had to throw back a few keepers due to over fishing, that was kind of sad but a good problem to have! Hey, dads are gonna squeeze them dad jokes in and that was a perfect scenario for one

Sometimes it's the little things that are the most satisfying. Simple mod to the HF jack to make operation a little simpler and more efficient, no more dicking with the handle to adjust the jack release :)

These bags were on sale for $10 at HF, fits my rear axle press tool and all the accessories perfectly and will hopefully prevent me from losing any of the adapters

Well the pneumatic tool rack is getting full
    IMG_3124.jpg

So I decided to add some electric ones to the mix, found this brand new one at the pawn shop today. Widdled him down to $75, got two knock off ebay batteries from a buddy for $20 and he gave me a free charger, so for under $100 I finally got myself an electric ratchet. Used one the other night and it was nice not having the cord, or if I'm not in the shop with access to air :)

they are surprisingly nice. A little bulky at first but once you’re used to it, it’s awesome. A nice time saver from having to manually ratchet especially in tight spaces.

Yeah I def have used my air powered one a bunch to save time taking stuff apart, but always got annoyed with the hose following me around. Kinda why I am really trying to figure out how big of a compressor I actually need for my shop considering how many air powered things are slowly going battery. My compressor is on it's way out and I am not sure I can justify a 220 60 gal when I have gotten away with my HF 21 gallon for 5 years now that I got for free from Kevin years ago. For almost all things I have seen 5 scfm max for things I need to do. I don't plan on sand blasting or running a plasma table so anything that puts out 5 scfm at 90 should be able to keep up with the majority of my shop work. Buttt part of me is like well what if you EVENTUALLY plan on those things, but realistically I don't think it would happen at my current home.

The battery ratchet from Milwaukee is also nice because when it "torques out" and stops turn it locks in place and you can still give it an extra pull to break something free. Then go back to letting the ratchet do the work.

I have also started converting over...

Ratchet is nice, but I gotta remind myself to use it cuz naturally I go to og ratchet. I got mine with a M12 drill kit. @JLink recommended I upgrade the battery and after doing so it’s def the move for longevity. These 6.0 are the best grab at July 4th or Black Friday sales at Home Depot. Been building my Milwaukee collection couple years now..

    Yep.
Hole-e-sheet. Something went smoothly for a change.

Replaced the o2 and A/F sensors on Saturday morning... they both came right off, didn't even need a breaker bar. 20 minutes, no more pending codes and the truck is running smooth again.

It's amazing what can happen when you use new parts vs. trying to salvage older shit haha. Truck just needs some rear bump tops installed, probably wait til this weekend to tackle that. Glad to hear your project went well, now that you're down south I think you won't have to worry about rust and corrosion as much

Agreed on the m12 ratchet, but after seeing some people complain about issues, it seems the fuel one is worth it. Stronger head. I use mine all the time.
