The first brand new car (not truck) that I want to buy would be either a brz or Challenger. I’m more of a form over function kinda guy.

Definitely plenty of function to go with the form on a BRZ/FR-S!

Nope. I think you hit the nail on the head. The engine is strong and reliable. Although like Craig said (and I agree) it could use a bit more power but running straight line speeds isn't what this car was targeted for. It's for the total driving experience. We have the Limited Edition FRS RS 2.0 and there were only 1000 made in the world. We have #96 so we were lucky to get our hands on one. It only comes in this color and wheel package and TRD Suspension. It is loaded with everything and has alcantara throughout the entire interior of the car.

I have a 2017 VW Golf R MT. Super fun to drive. However, it’s so inconvenient to go on ramps. I have to tilt every single time. At least 2-5 times a week someone with a sportscar will pull up next to me and rev. Very annoying. Other than that, I have no complains. I wish I could keep both vehicles but I’m going back to a Tacoma very soon.

My son is on his 2nd BRZ, they take turns like they are on rails and the power comes in between 4500 and 7500 rpm. I think it's a great sports car for under 30k.

The opposite. I am saying it sold for more money than it was purchased for, but that same amount of money does not have the same “purchasing power” as it did 12 years ago

But I was just messing around

I was lucky if I put 1,500 miles a year on my Nismo. Dumped it for a profit and went back to a truck. No regrets, but my son sure does miss the Z.

I had a buddy of mine on the FD that had one that looked almost exactly like yours. I always thought that the Z had some of the best looking factory wheels of any production car.

I'm sorry, your neighbor did what?!!! An NSX (assuming it was the original not the new BS excuse for a remake), an iconic 90's sports car, the rival of super cars for a fraction of the price, the 90's GTR if you will. And he traded that for the grossly underpowered, endlessly criticized for lack of power, BRZ? The NSX will turn heads and hold value. The BRZ, well, it's a hardtop, slightly larger miata. Are you sure your neighbor is OK mentally?

The BRZ would be an awesome car if they would simply put the WRX engine in it, or even supercharge it. They desperately need a BRZ STi with some balls. When I wanted a fun, inexpensive sports car, I bought a WRX and enjoyed every day of ownership.

i had a 350z before the truck. loved the torque of the car, hated the interior space. specifically some of the cheap plastic and the hatch being way too small

I bet it’s a fun DD for sure.
The guy that tuned my k20 civic (Shawn church)look him up) said it one of the worst “tuner cars” cause it almost comes from the factory with close to NA max output and almost have to detune the damn thing to add force induction.. Shawn church has an article about it somewhere...

BTW IM JEALOUS OF THOSE NSX OWNERS!

Some of you prob don’t have experience driving these “iconic” and “rare” cars. Look, they are nice cars. But they’re just that—cars. I’ve owned my share. In the end, it just comes down to personal preference. Driving it around and having every d-bag revving their engines. Worrying about where to park. Checking for little scratches daily. It got to be a chore. Honestly, I liked driving a more “mundane” daily car. Like the Honda Fit. It was like a go kart. Plus, I didn’t care much about it. Scratches here and there-who cares. The same neighbor used to only drive the NSX on the weekends and sunny days. Now he drives the BRZ daily and loves it. Now I’m past the “drive 9/10 on the street” days of my life and bought a Tacoma. Preferences change. Life changes.

I had one as a daily for about 8 months and absolutely HATED it.

Fantastic chassis and it handled great with 245 and coilovers. But what an awful engine. It's boring and lethargic and not at all fun to rev out. I though it would be a great combination of the strengths of my other two fun cars (S2000 & STI) but it wasn't, at all. Perhaps if it was my first "sports" car I would have enjoyed it more.

I like them a hell of a lot more than the Tacoma seats, both comfort and appearance-wise.
