It doesn't. Per the nec your circuitry is based on sq footage for residential wiring. 3va per sq foot devices count does not matter other then light fixtures which of course you have to add up the wattage of the lamps and make sure you do not go passed 1440 watts or 12 amps. To much to get into here, op use the ground screw on the bare wire. Then black to black white to white.

OP I will PM you my number you can call me if you have any questions.

That's what I was getting to...it doesn't say anything about receptacle count on a circuit.

So I am going to go buy a light switch, an outlet plug, the little blue boxes, some covers, and some of the same wire. If you don't hear back from me in a few days some shit went wrong! :D

Nice, what wire size/type did you end up using? Do you happen to know if that is a 15A or 20A circuit? Also is that a parts cleaning bench near the outlet?

not trying to answer for him, but yeah i think it is. brings back memories from high school shop class when we would clean weed eater parts in there with varsol. your hands would dry up and you would smell like it the rest of the day no matter how many time you washed your hands haha.

lol nice, iirc outlets near water source should be GFCI.

ive never done much serious house electric work so i wouldn't know, but those tanks aren't rigged up with water though. so it should be fine right? . . . (i accept the fact that i could be very wrong in advance lol)

If its not rigged up with water then I'm not sure, as long as nothing electrical (corded drill, dremmer etc) could fall in something that its filled with water, then I feel its safe, otherwise I would use a GFCI so it trips if that ever happened.

    edit:
also I don't know how damp is that garage, I would honestly just for peace of mind, would go with a GFCI outlet

Garage outlets have to be gfci protected by code since like the 1996 code maybe even before that I can't remeber off the top off my head.

No it's not a parts cleaning bench, it's a break down work bench. The parts washer is the black unit next to the press. The garage is pretty dry and does not damp up at all. Like I said it's not up to code or anything like that. I just needed light and power on that side of things! :) If I ever drywall the place I will make sure to bring someone in to redo it all correct and up to code! :D
