Has anyone had any experience with the sand jack? It's about half the price of the Pro Eagle. It's available on Ebay...

Looks like a small Harbor Freight aluminum jack with some weird drop brackets on it. Seems sketchy especially with the pneumatic hand truck wheels.

I agree, I cringed when I saw those cheap tires/wheels cause they don't hold up on a hand truck.

This part looks like it would collapse under a side load, no bracing, I'd steer clear.

I thought the same thing. Pneumatic tires (cheap Chinese) don't seem to be up to the task...

When these wheels fail, it's usually at the hub (my experience).

Those wheels typically have like a 300lb load rating. Seems a bit low for this application. Unless they found really awesome chinese wheels....which I highly doubt.

The tires are rated for 300#'s max. I have no idea what the wheels are rated at. Looks like he just powder coated or painted the wheels.....
I wish there was a kit to retrofit an existing jack with larger tires with the appropriate capacity. Maybe a "sled" is a better option....

I guess they spent all their money on the race truck, and couldn't spring for a decent jack?

Pneumatic wheels for a jack are about the worst idea you could have, imo. Now you have the potential to have to fix a flat before you can fix your flat? Nope, not for me.

The surface area isn't all that much more than a conventional jack (metal) wheel, so it's still going to sink into the sand until you hit the body of the jack.

Just use your maxtrax/traction aids or a piece of plywood to set your jack on.

In sand, the skid would be a much better option than larger wheels. I opted to go the larger wheel route as there isn't any sand in my driveway, only gravel which makes dragging a conventional floor jack around a huge issue for me.IMG_3837a.jpg
