I did read this write up I found it right before I ordered my part the guy was very thorough with the ride up it was great said he used a U-joint kit from an ATV. I did not have the patience for this so I went ahead and order the part.

I’d feel more confident in a new Toyota part Anyways. You could always rebuild the old one and keep it around as a spare lol or sale it to someone on here that’s looking to save some cash.

So basically I just parked on a flat spot in the yard and scrap my steering wheel in place. After that it was simply pull out the old shaft and pu20200516_101817.jpg t the new one in. Difficulty level 2. Pay attention to the paint marks before removing the old shaft and put the new one back in the the same way.

I just replaced mine, my steering became very stiff, got one on Amazon or eBay for around 70 dollars, Oem is around 170, I was surprised how beefy the replacement was.

So, I thought that my sway bar end links were at a terrible angle. I decided on these hiem joint end links because they are adjustable and durable construction. I installed them per the manufacturer diagram and it ga ve me this angle. I was getting alot of noise from the new end links. I decided to switch the spacers putting the spindle side onto the sway bar side. This gave me a more agreeable angle. 20200520_121001.jpg

I’m thinking of picking these up too, how do you guys like it? Any issues? They really look good and based on what everyone says here it makes a big difference from oem.

on a 3 inch lift for a while and I can see some rubbing on my oem uca to the springs. From what I’ve read on Tacoma world it makes a big difference on clearing it.

Mine rides a lot better and it feels a lot more solid less noise I like them so far my tires are not wearing oddly overall probably pretty good for the money not as nice as some of the adjustable ones that I looked at that were around twice as much

Yeah I was thinking of doing some pro comp ones or even Dobinsons. But it’s around $600 if I were thinking of doing that much, I might as well spend a little more on icons or other high name brands. But I’m glad I saw these online. My oem ones do make a lot of noise too.
