Haven’t used them in my truck....

But i have run them in a boat for trolling motors and a camper. They’re very good for the money. No complaints at all.

Longest warranty and cheapest price, that is my thinking with batteries, especially considering there are two companies that produce a majority of batteries under various names.

I've had good luck with them. I use them in every piece of equipment my company owns. I've had the one in my 06 v6 for 4 years now no problems.

I Use them in every vehicle and most of the farm equipment. In the daily drivers they averaged 7 years., equipment that doesn't run every day about 5. I like them, I don't think I've ever returned one for problems.

I believe they're made by Johnson Controls, don't quote me on that though...

I know the Toyota branded batteries that the dealer stocks are delivered by an Interstate Battery truck so really a Costco Interstate should be just as good as an OEM Toyota Interstate.

If you want the best battery money can buy though...

    Get a Northstar battery.

You can buy them cheaper rebranded from Batteries plus bulbs under the name of X2 Power, same internals just has a gray and blue case vs a red and black one.

I've had one for 6 years now in this florida heat humidity and salinity, still going strong.

I have used Interstate exclusively for 20 years.

Still the best battery I’ve tried, never had an issue.

I like interstate batteries. Really good exchange program if for some reason you get a bad one most will swap it without hesitation.

I've returned quite a few Costco Group 24 batteries in the last few years. Maybe you'll have better luck.

We have used Interstates in all our vehicles for years. Recently, though, we have encountered a couple duds--failed in less than 9 months. Quick and seamless replacement, though. Hope the failures are not a trend.

Odysey battery for the Taco is 26 months, Interstate is 30 for the MTP.

Of course interstate is almost 1/3 the price

    Thanks for all the input.

Realized how long they've been around and seen them sold at lots of independent shops. Thinking about it, how many vehicles I've owned, how many batteries I've replaced over the years, how many small towns I've lived in, I'm actually surprised I've never used one.

Anyway, there is now one in the truck.

Costco, $93 OTD, 24F, 36 months. Higher CCA and other ratings than my OE batter, FWIW.

The build date of the truck is 9/12, so the battery is likely around then. Not quite 6 yo. Not bad for the low use I give it and Fl heat.

I did notice the OE battery was engraved 'Johnson Controls' for Toyota.

Anyway, it was about $50 cheaper than parts house bits with similar warranties. Which is fine by me.

Taking note of some recent experiences of failure mentioned here. Good news for me is that Costco is close and I find them easy to work with. In case. Hopefully not.

Never understood the allure for Odyssey or Northstar batteries. Guess people just love dropping money on batteries.

I use interstate in everything. Have had very good luck with them.

I will however list my bias. My brother in law’s best friend is the local interstate dealer so I get stellar pricing and delivered to my door. I know any issues that arise will be dealt with and I would have to have rock solid proof that another product was better to not go interstate. It is a no lose situation for me and I understand not everyone is in the same position. But bias aside I have yet to have one fail on me so all I can say on life expectancy is they are at least not failing within warrantee for those I have had longer than the others.

I will also add I just dropped money on 4 12v deep cycle golf cart batteries for my solar system and even at cost those weren’t cheap so thats how much faith I have in them.

Interstate from your local auto parts store or mechanic are good, the ones from Costco are crap.
