I have a 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 700 and I am looking to upgrade to the Elka suspension stage 1's. My rides consist of very rocky terrain in upstate NY and PA and the ride is very stiff with stock suspension especially after 30 + miles. If anyone could chime in on the ride comfort or anything else I will be interested to hear. FYI I don't tow or pull any weight with it strictly just a woods ATV. Thanks!

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
I've been into atvs pretty much my whole life. I've ridden some sweet sport quads with Elka suspension, never ridden a big 4x4 with it. But I'd buy it for my quad if I had the money. Aftermarket suspension is always better than the crap oem stuff.

Totally agree. Suspension is the first thing I upgrade on any of my quads.

Elka ride great on any quad, sport or utility. They know their business and make some nice shocks. Had their long travel setup on a 450 back in the day, rode a few 4x4s(my dad had a Rincon 650 with some) with them too and they make a big difference in smoothness and also overall ability to resist bottoming

Thanks guys for the responses but ultimately it sounds as like I am going to fitment issues with Elka's and my Riccohet armor. It seems it will require bending and cutting which I don't know if I want to do especially being all my armor is black anodized (not sure if it will flake or not when bending). I called up Works Performance who can put the preload on the bottom therefore alleviating the fitment issues. I am a little bummed up cause I really want the Elka's but I am sure the Works will be close in performance at entry level replacement shocks. Not really sure what to do at this point cause I really want to upgrade the ride quality...

I've had works performance shocks, they will be be very similar to Elkas. Anything is better than the stock.
