Any other Valentine 1 Mounts, (besides Blendmount)?

Sold the 'vette Saturday, moving my V1 to the Tacoma, and haven't found a mount for it yet, besides the ridiculously priced Blendmount. I also don't like where that mount has the V1 sitting, low and in plain view. The Great Lakes mount I had in the Corvette used one of the visor screws, and had the V1 high and out of sight.

And please, this thread is not to debate:
    • if radar detectors work or not
    • if the placement affects the radar detectors ability
    • if you are a cop, and no radar detector can get by you
    • etc...

Just looking to see if anyone has ever found a mount for the V1 that is not labeled Blendmount.

What, you don't want to pay nearly $100 for a piece of plastic that attaches to your mirror?

I don't want to pay half that much for that mount. I contacted Great Lakes about a mount for the Tacoma, and got this response:

Can't blame 'em, but I wish we had an alternative. Here are a few pics of the Great Lakes mount in my (now sold) 'vette:

$50 would still be a rip off for the blendmount
