Bumping... Thoughts? Haven't posted on the for sale area as I wouldn't even know where to begin pricing, what with the dynamic pre-built market and the inflated price of ghost S1 cases and tophats given out of stock everywhere.

As long as it returns to at least Vietnam or more modern, I'm in. I've never been a fan of World War games. BF3/BF4 are my favorite multiplayer games of all time. I still play BF3 to this day.

A Vietnam/Korea/desert storm trio game would be cool.

As cool as levolution was, BF3 had the best infantry maps IMO. It's hard to beat Seine Crossing, Bazaar, Norshar, Damavand, and pretty much all of Karkand and Aftermath DLC. BF4 opened up the maps a bit and made vehicle gameplay more accessible but that brought a big side effect of TONS of long range engagements with snipers. Ground infantry gameplay was fantastic in BF3.

Yeah when there was rumors that 2143 was coming out I was so disappointed when I found out that wasn't true. Such a fun game.

SUCH agree... Best battlefield alongside BF2 and Bad Company. To date, there hasn't been so much teamwork in a battlefield as was the Titan conquest mode in 2142... The race to capture missile silos... the rush down the 4 hallways and to the reactor... Seeing the crazy hover-fighter battles in the skies... And the scary-as-shit sight of an enemy walker waltzing into the silo where you and your voss or lambert equipped buddy are almost done capturing.

BF4 is my all time favorite. Another modern one would be great though. Just don't go all futuristic like Call of Duty.

I finally got back home and got to set up my
Cyber power UPS, with my PC at idle, fiber converter, switch, and router Hooked up I should get about 30 minutes of run time.
About 8 hours with just the router and fiber converter.
And here’s a cropped photo so you guys can’t see the mess of wires under my desk
    AAA16C77-A4B8-4DF2-A51A-2285E50BDC64.jpg

Edit, I attached my main monitor as well and still have decent run time.
I also forgot to mention that I have the ethernet run through the surge protector as well, never done it before but I've heard its good to have protected.

Just picked up a 10980XE from Microcenter for $800. Paired it with an EVGA X299 micro. 18 cores / 36 threads is definitely nice. Now to find a use for it.

Replaced a 10700k with an Asus Z490m which I gave to my kid for a gaming rig.

Curious why you didn't go AMD? Intel HEDT isn't really in a good place right now.

Mature platform and use of VM software that is certified for Intel cpu's. The AMD, especially the Threadripper is surprisingly fast, but needed the certainty of a known compatibility. I'm not using it for gaming.

Fair enough. TR is fairly mature now, I mean nVidia is powering their AI stuff with it now, but I can get the need for 100% compatibility.

Lots of chatter that the deal could be a disaster for ARM, or might not even happen if the EU has their way.
