In other news the 5900X looks like an absolute beast. Big gains both per core and multicore. Like over 20% in some leaks. Hope it's true. Stomping Intel down a notch might motivate them to make Rocket Lake something special.

 

I thought it was neat to see that the Steam hardware survey results show that AMD CPU use has tripled since may 2018, from 8% to 25%. Slowly chipping away at the giant. That number will continue to grow as these aging Intel builds are finally retired and replaced by AMD Ryzens, as mine was.

 

On the plus side by the time stock has stabilized we should see the 2080 20 GB which might be a better value unless you do creative work.

We were just talking about AMD Zen 3 CPU leaks. It looks like the Ryzen 7 5800X really might knock the Intel 10900K around at half its price point.

I have a blue team Intel i9-9900K 5.0 all core, on a Maximus Formula XI, 32GB 3200mhz DDR4, and a 1080 (non-ti) waiting for team green to get their head out of their asterisk on their 30 series launch cause I want to get the most out of my Index HMD.

3070 launch delayed until October 29th. nVidia claims its because of supply of 3070 cards but the 29th is one day after AMD will announce the RX 6000 series. I sense competition lol.

 

What games you play? I been playing the shit out of Phasmophobia recently. Squadrons is beautiful, but way too arcadey for me. Old school VRCer before the stupid knuckles showed up.

Fuck this whole world sucks lol. I guess shit is what it is now. I'm surprised the answer from nVidia, the AI company, is to just delay and try to make more cards for their launch. I'm willing to bet it'll just mean more for the scalpers.

Anyone selling a card for more than MSRP is a real piece of shit.

 

Not that I have to justify anything to your salt, but I didn't pay shit for it, I just have friend circles that have the ability and we all want them for our personal use. Seems a bit uncalled for here.

 

It's definitely salt at scalpers and the fallout it's having on the industry. I used to enjoy product launches. I don't know if I ever will again if this is how they'll all be now.

I've been talking about it with some people in my Discord and other Discords. The whole use of bots and the false market that's being created is frustrating. Legally there is nothing wrong with it and I get that. Maybe there should be, but that's not up to me.

It's not so much the you specifically, but reading a guy has two cards when most of us are still waiting is frustrating for sure. It's just the way it is. Don't hate the player, hate the game right?

We aren't auto buying and both of my purchases were for personal use. I am impatient and bought a card thinking I wouldn't get one of my first choices that quick. All our bots are just functioning as in stock notifiers. You still have to go through the regular purchase process everyone is using.

Once I get the other one, I am gonna list it close to my cost, if people want to bid it up way higher, that's their own doing.
