Well I think I finally decided I will proceed with updating my desktop once I can get a reference card or reasonably priced partner card, I'm not in a hurry. My office with my PC and comm closet are below my living room. I think I will be running HDMI and a USB repeater up to the tv. Bluetooth dongle etc should run just fine for my non competitive gaming when I feel like playing from the couch.

Build a system with a Thunderbolt port, either built in or on a dedicated add on card. Then you can run a single cable from your PC to a Thunderbolt dock next your TV. Thunderbolt can carry video, USB, and pretty much anything else you need without adding latency since it's on the PCI-E standard.

Still got a couple hours to decide whether I want my wife pissed at me or not lol
Got some research to do too.. Not even sure on what good DDR5 shit is, tbh.
I wasn't expecting to upgrade for a while so I hadn't bothered to look into it.

Also haven't been paying attention to Intel 12th gen.
Total with an i9-12900k in my cart is ~$1,500 lmao

Couple hundred cheaper with a 12700K in the cart.. Which should still outperform the 5950X I think?

So if the USB 3.x retro naming mess isn't bad enough, HDMI is doing it too. HDMI 2.0 can now be labeled as 2.1 without support for any of the 2.1 features.

The gap between the 5950X and 12900K is not worth it for gaming at all. Like under 5% in most games and about even at 1440P and above. I'd wait for the 6950X. It'll fit your AM4 board and probably be faster than the 12900K.

So I put together a pc for my cousin and gave him my rx580 that worked perfect before I took it out of my pc. But ever since it has been in his the drivers keep uninstalling themselves when the pc is turned off. Anyone have any ideas?

Long time lurker, few time poster. Saw these about office chairs. While I love the Aeron chairs, they are to pricy for my blood for a certified one. I went with this one and could not be happier, super comfy, solid as a 80's pick up and well priced. Just in case anyone was looking for a good chair. I recommend, especially if you get the roller blade wheels after market and slap them on.

Here are the after market castors.

I am a huge fan of media keys especially the volume scroll wheel so I would go with the EVGA. Also not sure how important they are to you but the EVGA supports macros as well.

Had this setup for about half a year now:

    PCPP Feature

I've made some changes that are in the description, just don't care to take new pics and upload them.

It is literally a requirement for me. Even if I got a keyboard for free if it didn't have the volume scroller I would sell it or give it away.

Weird lol. I mean I've had with and without but mostly just use my streamdeck or a macro to adjust volume.
