Here she is all cleaned up with the Corsair sleeved cables. Had to remove the hard drive “cage” that’s really just two metal plates held in with screws to free up wiring space.

I was thinking that but have seen the same temps throughout using HWMonitor since 3DMark only lists average.

I did see a power limit on my GPU hence raising target power via Aorus software.

Knowing and sharing this, would you say it's "bin" limited since I haven't messed with voltage for the CPU at any point?

You can actually play most fps games on a 2Mbps connection and not notice anything in game as long as your ping is decent. I game with a few folks at "the end of the line" capped at 2Mb.

When people say 'you don't need a nice GPU or keyboard to play Doom on'

    :anonymous:

Just a GIF...though others have successfully run Doom on their keyboard. Hell, even on a pregnancy test.

Had my first big issue to troubleshoot this evening. Went to turn the pc on and just black screen. Gpu fans would spin for a bit and the stop. Tried reseating it, the old power cables, new display port cable, installing it directly on the motherboard, old gpu, and nothing worked. Gave it one last try after 2.5 hours with the new gpu and while it was still black screened, unplugged the monitor and plugged it into a different socket. Voila. Had a blue screen and needed a restart, but all was functioning as it should. Will probably move the gpu back to the vertical mount at some point since the temps while gaming are 5-8 degrees cooler that way, but relieved it’s all working

Had a similar issue; I recently sold my 6700k 1080TI build and while installing a new OS, I had a GPU issue.

Had the latest bios, drivers installed, everything. It took me seating the GPU into another (lower) slot to get any video and get Nvidia GeForce installed. Afterward, I was able to put it on the first slot and get it running like normal again.

Weird. Guess it’s always just a troubleshoot and hope for the best.

5600 non x is down to 119 at my local microcenter. Hoping they might drop it down to 99 on holiday sales. Doubtful, but who knows.

Amazon just dropped it to $118 so I pulled the trigger. 5800x3d is top am4 chip, but not worth triple the price of a 5600 for me.

I've been an Nvidia guy pretty much forever but I'm looking real hard at the 7900xtx. Definitely going to wait till all the regulars get their hands on it to make sure it holds up but it's sounding pretty good right now.

Looks promising, especially at the MSRP listed compared to Nvidia.

I haven't owned anything non-Nvidia since the days of old like the 9800 All in Wonder Pro.
