Thanks I found it! Capture power.png Ipower.png think this is it?
What the hell is kernel power? Lol

The critical last hour, 24 hours, 7 days makes sense in about when I saw the reboots.

Edit: digging deeper seems the task is 63, event ID 41.

Well, unfortunately not really helpful. That basically just means your computer unexpectedly lost power. Sorry to lead you on that goose chase, like i said, sometimes helpful sometimes not :pout:

No worries, I think it puts me on the right path. Google came up with a few similar issues with exact names for error codes. Thanks for info though on the Event Viewer

    Yeah.
Well, there could be a clue there. My first thought was the PSU (power supply unit) since games demand more from the system.

And as you mentioned, that's a really old BIOS. Updating likely won't fix this issue, but might avoid others if there is a newer one available.

Thanks for input. Ive watched several vids and looked through some Microsoft help forums.
Going to take a stab at swap out the PSU.

If that doesn't solve the issue just going to send it back... lol.

    This guy seems to know what he's talking about . . . I'm a maid, I don't do Windows. :p

I'd be more suspicious of a CPU fan and it not cooling enough than a PS. Most CPUs will throttle themselves if they get too hot, and this could be the source of your crashes. Sorry didn't page back through the thread, if you have any monitor on the CPU temp, check it and compare against the "average" temps for your CPU.

Got my Christmas presents installed, 280 AIO and R7 5800X installed, everything seems to be running well, AC Odyssey was 99% GPU and 58% CPU, looking forward to trying MSFS in VR with it as my R5 3600 was my previous bottleneck.
The fan setup is a bit unconventional, I have 120mm fans up front and then the 140’s on the AIO, together they move a lot of air.
    3 120mm exhaust fans also.

Water temp didn’t seem to get over 25-26*C, room was about 20*C.
I didn’t even think to look at my GPU temps while gaming, but after closing AC odyssey temps were dropping and I saw 48*C (with Radeon chill active), but I’m having problems with setting fan curves in AMD adrenaline, I can set a fan curve and save it, and it’ll stay for 3-5 minutes and then it will drop to a flat line and want to run at 35% for all temps.

Got to run stress tests on it tonight with the settings from Auto on the all core curve optimizer, with both CPU and GPU running under 100% load the CPU was getting to ~86C and still at 4.55GHZ all core after about an hour, the GPU was at 55C and about 2840MHZ.
    IMG_0131.jpg IMG_0132.jpg IMG_0133.jpg IMG_0134.jpg

Taking the GPU out of the equation the temps dropped and it boosted back up slightly.
    IMG_0136.jpg IMG_0137.jpg

Ambient temp was about 18.8C so not a ton of heat soak happening, I think when I upgrade my GPU from the RX 6700XT in the future I may need to bump up to 140MM fans on the exhaust to help remove the heat a little better but I don’t think I’ll be hitting the CPU hard enough to see more than 65-70% utilization with the current GPU to worry about temps.

Anyone build with a Hyte Y70 Touch ATX case yet? Would enjoy some hands on feedback before hopping on the waiting list for the next shipment.

    I'll ask my friend/neighbor

He's built more than several dozen high end builds in those cases since they released

    Yep, just texted him.

He owns a business, and has a store front that sells any and all PC components, etc and they do full custom builds as well. So it's cool seeing all the custom water cooled setups they do.

I've been in the game since IBM released the Personal Computer.
Most of my customers don't want a hand crafted machine due to the expense.

The supply of parts today is simply wonderful.
One can build as fast as they want to go, and do it with mainstream components.
Windows 10 can be tailored to remove most of the spam and marketing B.S.

Rolling your own means none of the 3rd party manure bundled in by the commercial manufacturers.
It also means using top quality power supplies, RAM and drives, which the commercial makers don't do.

I bought the Hyte Y60 for my high-end build and decided to go with the Y40 as the Y60 placement of the vertical GPU mount leaves virtually no space between the fans and the glass. This was with a ROG Strix 4090 which is a thick GPU, so I ended up with the Y40, which allowed more room for airflow for the card. Now if you go water-cooled for the GPU, should be no problem.

Hyte makes decent cases, a lot of plastic, but they do look nice once built.

I had my 7950X begin to fail. I bought it launch day. I think my board had the Bios that broke memory controllers because that's what's acting up. We will see if they warranty it. Picked up a 7900X3D in the mean time.

I have zero love for AMD machines, sorry.
Not dissing your box, just decades of support experience with cheap non-Intel chipsets and Radeon drivers.

I contracted 5x at Intel over the years and got to see many things first-hand.
IMO, they are worth the extra $$.
