They're available for both the AM4/AM5 platform.

I've seen a consistent 4-6 degrees better cooling after having installed it. At under $2 per degree of better cooling, it's a no brainer.

    Yeah.
My daughter likes building them, but she has mostly done little ones and I want a full size. I will probably get her to build me a custom one if I can figure out which keys I like best.

another vote for the Peerless Assassin. never push my 5600x that hard but it wasn't happy rendering large audio files or any videos.

I have a keychron q1 knob version at home which is a phenomenal keyboard (banana switches) and a keychron c2 pro with the same switches at work. My home one is way better, but also 3x the cost all in. My q1 I swear is over 5lbs and feels SO good to type on.

I'm seeing tons of AM5 and LGA1700, but no AM4. I'll look again later. A couple for the back of the mobo, but my back bracket is already pretty substantial.

i'm using a Razer Huntsman Mini with the clicky optical switches at home for gaming. At work i'm using a Royal Kludge RK96 because i need a number pad. i swapped out the switches on that to Kailh box Jades which is another clicky switch though not as fast as the Razer. i think i could probably still game on it if i had to.

Shit disregard, I thought they had it for AM4. You're just replacing the CPU cooler anyway which will be nice by itself.

But no this isn't a back bracket. It replaces the buckle/mount on your motherboard as the tension causes slight flex whereas the bracket holds it in place.

I've been using the Logitech G915 wireless full size board for gaming, school, and work from home during the 'Rona. I absolutely love it. Mine is with "clicky" keys; if it were to be completely for work in a shared office setting, I'd definitely go another direction for silent switches. But at home, I love it way too much. My wife also decided she liked it so much, she went through like 4 keyboards before finally just buying one identical to mine. What sells it for me is how low profile it is. I'm just not a fan of big thick and clunky keycaps. The volume scroll wheel is super useful, and a few mode keys and G-keys for if you wanna get real weird with macros.

The 915 was a great keyboard.

Used to have one but I gave it away when I got rid of all my Logitech stuff.

    Their keyboards never disappoint though!

I have Glorious TKL with Holy Pandas lubed and with lighter springs for gaming and a Keychron K6 with Akko lavender switches for work. Before I had DasKeyboard with blue cherries, replaced it cause I wanted a TKL for extra desk space.

It's not as important for AM5. It makes a much bigger difference on Intel platforms.

Got the new cooler installed, I'm happy with it. That with swapping out some noisy fans for the cheap line of noctuas has made the case nice and quiet overall. Basically have everything running at minimum RPM's and its barely audible.

(and most of the time i have my RGB turned off )

I routinely reverse the 12v and 5v pairs in the molex connector to slow the fans. Most run fine at 5v. Sleeve bearing fans should run with the bearing in a horizontal orientation. Ball bearing types are ok in any orientation.

anyone check out the AMD 7900GRE? i'm getting the itch to upgrade something and my 3060 ti looks like a prime candidate. either that or my 5600X, which would likely be upgraded to a 5700X3D. i plan to stick with AM4 for a little while longer.

It's supposed to be a great value as for raw performance and price.

Why not opt for a 7900XT? I found one or two recently for as little as $650 (new XFX). I just don't need one.

But a 3060TI is barely old enough to warrant replacing already?

Although I don't know how it measures up, and what resolution you play at or anything, or CAD work you're doing or what you're trying to achieve :anonymous:

my monitor is 1440p 165hz. no CAD work or anything, mostly gaming and music production which is CPU bound, i believe.
like i said... i'm just getting the itch to teardown and add something new.
