WiFi5 is the older AC standard. The big difference between 5 and 6 is that 5 is limited by the slowest device on a specific band. WiFi 6 is not.

I know. I'm just saying my phone telling me the WiFi name doesn't really tell me much. I'd rather see the connection speed.

Fair. I've seen my average wireless speed now be around 680 MB per second at range. That matches up nicely with my optical connection at 750 MB per second.

Looking at case fans, would y’all go be quiet silent wings 3 or noctua?

I like Noctua but I haven't checked out other fans in a while. They both are close in price.. Hmmm

Both are great. Make sure you get the correct blade type for your application (static pressure or flow). Keep in mind both companies focus on low noise fans versus pure airflow. The ML line from Corsair still moves the most air out of any fan I know though it's loud as hell above 2000 rpm.

I currently have the 3 cheap 3 pin 120mm fans that came with the case so anything will be better. I’m looking at the Noctua NF A12-25 if that helps and the case is a Phanteks P300.

Definitely rather have quieter fans with decent airflow over a fan that has the most air flow but LOUD as hell.

How often do you do it? With having two cats I typically clean mine once a month. They don't always have access to the office so if they did I would clean it more (probably wouldn't need to but just peace of mind). Do you have any animals?

Speaking of cleaning... I should re-apply thermal compound as it's been since October 2016 since I did it last.

I always do it by visual inspection, when my front filter starts to appear dirty then I know the bottom one is bad and the inside needs to be blown out. When winter comes though I do not feel like bringing my PC into the garage by the air compressor so I keep putting it off but now I'm just being lazy. I do have a dog but her little pit bull hair isn't too bad.

The ML's are quiet up to 2000 RPMs. They just give you the option to run them at higher speeds than most fans to push a crazy amount of air if you need to. They're perfect for blasting air through a radiator or at a component for overclocking. They were built to be a daily fan that offered more if someone needed more. The maglev bearing allows for higher RPM per volt.

Lol, you guys are going to call me crazy.

So I ordered and received that MSI G271 IPS 144hz monitor. Dead pixel on arrival, yada yada. Working on returning it.

It's now out of stock everywhere, so I ordered a Asus VG279Q to replace it because that monitor is the best 1080p monitor per Rtings.com & Hardware Unboxed. Get it hooked up and poof, fuzzy display on the most color-accurate setting + backlight bleed at the top of the panel. The fuzzy text is something reported with the ASUS displays because when using certain settings it disables sharpness which looks like total shit. Nothing you can do about it except use some of the ELEEET GAMUR settings which blow everything out of proportion. After 2 hours of fiddling with it last night I called it quits. Now it's on the return list.

So NOW I've got an LG 27GL83A-B inbound from Amazon to see how it looks.

I'm 0 for 2 bois, I hope I don't end up 0 for 3. If so, I'm going VA panel. These IPS panels are just wayyyyyyy too finicky when it comes to backlight bleed and IPS glow.

I will say out of the MSI G271 and Asus VG279Q, the MSI is a distinct winner. Better colors and smoother response. I'm surprised the Asus comes so highly recommended by the big review sites.

IPS is the superior technology, though unfortunately it's a case of you get what you pay for. The good IPS stuff usually isn't in the bottom 1/3 of prices since the panels are binned. Good luck.
