Toyota oem is the best to go with. I used moogs once before for about 20000 miles. Within the 20k they developed play. The oem toyotas lasted just past 250k

Looks like you avoided body damage. That's the good news. I'd also use OEM if possible, although there are good aftermarket alternatives.

Contact the forum member gunny1005 at Camelback Toyota. His name is Gary. He sold me some mirrors recently and his prices were excellent.

Was there any warning that the ball joint was going bad? Clunking, loose steering? It's scary to think this could happen without warning.

I cringe every time I see one of these, even though I just replaced mine <1k miles ago. I got OEM from gunny, right around $110 each. Such a clean first gen, and regular cab, too! Hope to see you back on the road soon!

    Pretty much stock right now
That hurts seeing a Tacoma in that condition, particularly because it is preventable. I'm partial to OEM front suspension parts, and would go that route myself. After all, sounds like your truck went over 200K on OEMs.

Please pay more attention to anything odd in your steering or suspension. When it loosens up, it means something is wearing out. You should also check out the inner/outer tie rod ends.
