I will be buying my buddy's 05 AC 4.0 6spd trd prerunner from him if he ever decides to get rid of it for this very reason.

It would have been nice if Toyota, before giving the regular cab the axe, made a special Tacoma Regular Cab TRD Edition with the 4.0 V6, 6 Speed MT, 4WD, with Off-Road suspension, rims/tires and tech package.

Couldn't agree more. I know many people point to the fact that the cab is cramped, and there's no room to recline the seat, as well as the lack of options and creature comforts, but I have found that some creative organizing of the area behind the seat, I can carry all my normal gear without any problem and the lack of options is what endears this truck to me. I imagine the shorter wheel base gives a bouncier ride but the maneuverability is awesome.

Yeah, and depending on transmission choice, maybe a custom adapter plate. Between your truck and the crashed truck more than enough parts to get you going, or should I say to get you in trouble.

I'm 6 ft and have same leg room in the RC as I did in the AC I had. Seat angle is same too. That is with DC storage bins behind the seats. Also have the center console and buckets. If people want a cramped cab go try a 1980s single cab all the way up to a 1st gen RC. 2nd gen RC is cramped if you're 7 ft tall and trying to haul 2 other people around. Sure, I can't lay the seat back and sleep in it like in AC or DC but whatever, don't need that capability. Creature comforts and options can be added. My RC has 2012 pwr blinker mirrors, 2013 wheel, 2011 grill, cc, int adj wipers, 6 disc with usb/aux/ipod connections, 2012 4 leafs, 5100s, Bluetooth, autodim/compass/temp/homelink/map light rr view mirror, Tundra bed lights, TRD skid, TRD gas tank skid, etc etc etc............add what matters to you
