I just got the last of the parts needed to install my 3.5 Camburg front suspension. I'm trying to make sure there aren't any tools or supplies that I'm missing. I already did a body chop and cam tabs.

Here is what I have that is think is relevant.
    • Sockets/combination wrenches of various sizes
    • Various screwdrivers
    • Torque wrenches
    • Red thread locker
    • Break fluid
    • Boot clamp pliers
    • Welder for limit straps and gussets
    • Grease gun

    Am I forgetting anything?

Harder to say since we don’t know the fine details of what you are installing.
If 4wd you got axle sockets?
Do you have a nitrogen setup for your shocks and bypass and bumps?
    Coilover adjustment tool?
    Ability to cycle suspension?

I do have the socket for the hub nut and new split pins. I don't have nitrogen. I was under the impression that king shocks from Camburg would be set to a ok starting point. I'm not running a bypass yet. I already have 2.0 bumps on there that I'm hoping are in the right position for the new LCAs. If not, I have everything to reweld them to a new location.

I do not have coil adjustment tools. Does king use regular old spanner wrenches or something proprietary? Shocks get delivered on Thursday.

For cycling the suspension, I have 4 jack stands with pretty tall reach and floor jacks. My plan was to have the tires on to check fender clearance and tires off to check the full down travel. Sound ok?

I believe it’s a 5/16-3/8 king double ended preload tool. Custom bent to help squeezing in those tight spaces.

The thing with them showing up prefilled is putting them on is tougher. Even without the coil spring for cycling. My sons kings weren’t even air up to the proper psi. Left and right were different psi as well. Two people for aired up shocks is handy.

Be ready for the unknown that isn’t searchable in any search bar.

I think this question falls into the category of. If you must ask how, you should get at least help from someone more knowledgeable and experienced. Or pay someone to do it.

If I paid someone to do something every time I needed something done, I would be very bored with life and never learn how to do anything for myself.

Are your axles assembled? Have antiseize? Blue thread locker? Paint pen?

Nothing wrong with learning something new. This community of Tacoma enthusiasts sometimes forgets this is a place for help and nothing wrong with asking for some direction. Let sorry comments motivate you to accomplish your tasks.

I'm going to rebuild the stock axles with new shafts and boots. Do you use the paint pen for marking bolts or something else?

It's for witness marks after you torque everything down. Makes it super easy to tell if something is starting to loosen up. Since your rebuilding the stock axles you will need c-clip pliers. Nothing you'll be doing is that hard. Send it.

Point taken. Hopefully you can find a qualified (one with a clear understanding of what to do and not to do beyond just what is visual) friend to help you.

Ive watched 50 different YouTube videos on the subject. I'll likely mess something up and need to make another trip for parts. I made this thread to help minimize the number of trips to the auto/hardware store.

Finding this or somethig like it will allow you to get uniballs to line up with their corresponding bolt holes really well. Gets a lot of use on my trucks when installing suspension components. I know mine is similar in size, maybe a little bigger.

Good one - use one along with the tapered punch often. It's nice to have a lot of mass so you aren't having to really hit with a great deal of arm / body strength and can pinpoint where the force goes.

I have both the tool above and below

With the straight punch tool the adjustment collar tends to get to a point where you can't get the tool in for more adjustment. Never had that issue the the angled t handle tool

I've used the cheap one from HF quite a bit. Makes the multiple times we have to do mock ups a little easier. Tapping bolts in/out, or suspension links and shock ends into their mounts, and mostly lining up the UCA spindle bolts through the uniball misalignment spacers.
