I’ve been noticing here at Ontario Toyota dealers that they don’t seem to have any Tacomas available for sale. Even their lots that have pre sold vehicles don’t have any Tacomas. Does anyone have knowledge of more production delays at the 2 Tacoma plants in Mexico?

That’s insane here in SoCal Tacomas have literally been sitting for months even the huge rip off stealership by house who never advertised once below msrp even before Covid has $1,000 off signs on all their Tacomas. I counted 20 on their lot alone not including their overflow lot and they’re a small dealer

The US has plenty of Tacomas now. 3k discounts are common here. The Pro’s are getting discounts already.

It would be nice if Toyota would make more of the bright colors. Kinda tired of gray, black, silver and white. You don’t see orange, red, blue, and bronze much around here.

    I suspect 2025 is beginning.

It must be an allocation issue then. The US market always gets preference over Canadian. Also when converting currencies I think the Tacomas are lower priced in Canada. We can get a Off-road premium for $61k here which works out to $45k in US dollars.

When I got mine , dealership had 5 on the lot. And I was told that the owner ordered 12 more that was supposed to arrive in a few weeks . From my understanding the owner was the 1 building them in a variety of configurations.

    I wish my Off-road Premium was $45k.

If you build my offroad base manual with the options it's 4k USD more then what I paid in CDN dollars. But our Trail Hunter is 4k Canadian more then the Pro and I think the Trail Hunter is cheaper then the Pro in the US

In Canada we get the long bed (6'), moonroof and roof rack as standard on the Trailhunter when compared to the US version which probably accounts for most of the price swing between the two country's TRD Pro and Trailhunter versions.

Thanks didn't know that. I do think our vehicles are a bit cheaper though.

My local tiny dealership in the East Bay has an entire overflow lot full of unsold Tacomas.

Larry h miller Toyota in corona but I absolutely do not recommend them there’s a ton of other SoCal dealers that will give you a much much better deal. Literally every SoCal dealer I’ve driven by has lots stock full of Tacomas right now

Larry H Miller was pure ass in Colorado. At least they’re consistent.

No inventory shortage here in the Seattle area. My local dealership has an impressive number of new Tacomas sitting around, and has for a few months now.

Refreshing to see after my previous shopping for a Tundra 2 years ago.

Toyota appears to be flooding the market with heavily discounted Tacomas. By the time the ‘25’s get dumped on dealer lots where I’m at, they may have to start offering bogo.

Im truly in SoCal, san diego...
I have an sr5 reserved & was able to get $3k off msrp, seemed too easy & wondering if I left money on the table...
Nobody really has what I want locally or even in allocation.
A white, 2wd, auto, shortbed, with a premium package, more times than not that comes with the cold-weather package.
Afraid if I wait for 2025's, they wont be will to deal on the 25's like they are the 24's.

Around here $3K off is a given for TRDOR trim- I’d say you should push for a better deal, although I realize SoCal is a different market.

it’s actually a bit surprising how much inventory has been sitting. Plenty of trucks still around after 60 days, even with advertised discounts.

How much off of MSRP are the Pro discounts you are seeing?

I got 2k off back in April when they were not common, definitely search for a better deal especially on Sr5's since there's more of those than any other trim.
