Any Taco's in the UK? Question about rear fogs...

I will be entering the country in a year and am under the impression the "rear" fog light (reverse-light) need only be 10 cm from the brake light. The Tacoma's look a little closer than 10cm unfortunately (cannot measure as truck is in storage).

If you have, or have had your Taco in the UK, what kind of setup, if any, did you have?

Does the US built Tacoma taillamp have a place to install a rear fog lamp socket? Or are you transplanting something like Hilux taillamps (if they even fit)?

 

I just want to know what I need to do in order to be legal...

I didn't have my Tacoma at the time, but had a Jeep Wrangler. The fog light will most likely be mounted on your rear bumper. If I remember correctly, the fog light can be no higher than 28 inches off the ground. I had mine done at Mildenhall Auto Hobby Shop and they ran a light switch onto my dash. I went through them because they claimed they do not drill holes into your vehicle. They might need to atttach side flashers to your front fenders as well.

 

no! I don't want any side flashers! I really really hope that's not the case!
