Ok, I made a newbie mistake. I jumped the gun and did the "anytime fog light mod" on my new 2012. I thought everything was going great when I started it up and-Nothing.. Then I realized the mod I just did was wrong. I found a different mod for anytime fogs for the 2012's.

My problem now is my check engine light and traction light are now on.....OMG, what did I do? Did I damage my truck? Is there any easy fix? Stupid newbie mistake! Please help.

Get a multimeter and check your fuses.

take it to the dealership...I wouldn't be trying to reset the check engine light myself.

^ above sounds better if you have one

    This^^

Do not panick! You probably just blew a fuse. Figure out which one, and why, fix it, then pull the negative battery cable for a few minutes to reset the warning lights. If you can't get the light reset that way, then yeah, you need to take it in, but that usually works for me.

Thanks for the responses, what gets me is that I thought I was doing everything right. Everything matched up, I thought. The relay and wires where the same on my truck as the mod on the post.. I didn't know there was a separate mod for the 2102s. If thats the case what is so different on the 2012's.

    .
If none of this works, I would undo everything you did, including the mod, take anything you added out, take it to the dealer and play dumb
