Okay, so I wanna get some bedside decals from sockmonkey. But my favorite ones are TRDs. I want the ones with the south carolina logo on them and he doesnt make them for SR5s. Would it be stupid to put the TRD decal on my truck? Anybody else do this? I dont have a TRD.

well, since Toyota won't build a regular cab TRD...I'm doing it myself. Already have the Bilstein suspension and the 17" sport wheels. The custom colored TRD logos from sockmonkey are next.

Who cares...it's your truck, make it like you want.:D

I agree. If you like it then go for it. I personally like it clean. No decals or badges on mine, besides the Toyota emblem from the grille on tailgate. That might even be coming off soon

Sockmonkey makes SR5 Decals that look similar to the TRD bedside ones. I'd rock those if I had an SR5.

I *just* debadged my truck. Reason being, other than the color matched accessories and the hood scoop, my truck really isn't a TRD Sport any more. It has a locker, it has FJ wheels.

I saw the SR5 decals, but I want the South Carolina logo on it and it only comes with TRD.
I asked him if he could swap the TRD for SR5, but he said no custom decals.

I woudln't do it personally, just not my cup of tea, but, It's your truck. Go for it if you want. I don't think it's a big deal. The only problem I could see would be if you went to sale it. You'd have to make sure you told them it's not a TRD model.

Buy the TRD radiator cap and your good to go.:p Honestly, there is not a significant performance difference between a TRD model and a non, so it's really not a big deal either way. Most of what owners do to there vehicles is mainly for looks or other testosterone filled reasons. (I know I'm guilty) Function is only secondary.
