Anybody have a HF plastic welder?

I hit a coyote and cracked my front bumper. Thought this might be a possibility. Any thoughts?

 

Maybe time to upgrade bumpers

 

Unless you have lots of experience you can destroy a lot of stuff with a plastic welder. I had a high end one years back and you need the exact type of rod, the right technique and a little bit of luck. I don’t suggest anyone try unless you can practice practice practice on hidden or scrap parts first. Even then you may destroy your stuff.

If its already cracked, might as well try in my opinion, have fixed several panels in my old 4runner with a old soldering iron, as well as countless motorcyle parts. Have been meaning to pick up one of the dedicated plastic welders.

 

nobody has a harbor freight plastic welder?
