Just curious if anyone has their auxiliary LifePO4 battery mounted in the cab? These are supposed to be safe, leak proof and fume free batteries so I was thinking of putting the battery and controller under the rear seat deleted platform I built.
I’m trying to avoid putting it in the bed because my camper comes on and off and obviously don’t want the battery and controller exposed, I eventually plan on a Topo Topper or similar and will be removing it when not in use

I put mine behind the back seat. I put insulation in the entire truck. I haven't had any issues. I do not think it's a safety issue. I have a Dr. Prepare 100ah LifeP04 battery and a Renogy Rover 40a. I have 2 - 100w CIGS solar panels on the top of my camper.

I have the same Dr. Prepare 100ah screwed down next to my 12v Setpower freezer on a 40% seat delete board I made. Planning to tie it into a similar Renogy 20A charge controller and fuse setup but I'm terrible with electronics so I'm trying to figure this out.

    I guess Ecoflow delta2 count . It’s inside the cab . Right next to 12v fridge/freezer

I love it.it’s so versatile. Super easy in and out of the cab. It’s a stand alone . Wow, you got the best deal.I don’t have that extra battery. That extra battery was already almost a thousand when I bought mine so I passed. Wish I waited for this deal.

Man the deal goes til the second I think. I went back and forth on it but watching a bunch of reviews it seems like a solid choice.

I have a Oupes brand 600w and it has served my family nicely. It's incredible that you can set up a fully self sustainable power system in your pickup truck.

The Ecoflows are great, I’ve had one for a few years, never any issues

You’ll never regret your purchase. Handy during power outages too. Charges quick with the bifacial solar panel by Ecoflow. I also got the buogerv 200w mono which I plan to attach to roof rack using the tilting mount. Unfortunately I have to wait a month for the roof rack. It’s a 2-4 weeks wait . You got lucky there !

what roof rack are you getting? I can tell you my CIGS panels LOVE an angle but do really well flat. My camper shell buildout took like 4 months! :) It's all worth the wait though.

On the RV side of things people mount their 200-500Ah battery banks inside their living spaces on the regular. The lithium iron phosphates were more or less engineered to be an indoor battery. The cells are sealed, so no offgassing, and don't have as much of an expansion issue as the lithium polymers, so you really have to be doing something on purpose to cause a thermal runaway reaction.

The only caution I would recommend is to either mount it in a box or put an insulated lid on it so that there's no freak possibility of anything landing across the terminals.

I got the Sherpa grand Teton . Still waiting . It’s a 2 to 4 weeks waiting. My bougerv 200w panel is ok flat but it doesn’t fully recharge my Ecoflow delta2 with it attached to setpower rv45 dual zone fridge . Hope the tilting mount will help .

Thanks for the replies. Guess I’m going to mount the battery and my Renogy DCC30S controller in my platform so I got to raise it another 3 inches or raise just the back half another 3 inches . Here is what I’m working with. The battery fits perfectly width wise under this door but is 2.5 inches too tall

Thanks. Hopefully this is the last time I have to pull it out to make changes, it’s been a work in progress

I raised my platform 2.5 inches and got the battery to fit, it’s sitting on a tray that’s screwed to the platform, I can’t use the usual hold down bolts so I have to figure out a way to strap it down.

SOK 206Ah mounted on the floor. It's the plastic case version which is marine rated which is why I don't care that it's on the floor. I have bigger plans for later that will mount to the back wall with the rear seats/cubbies deleted but it's going to take a while.
