    Hey guys
This may be an unreasonable request but here it goes! :D

I'm looking for someone that messes with AutoCAD or any other floor plan software. I found a jpg of a house floor plan we like but it needs some tweaking.

Now I know tons about computers & networks but am clueless at drawing software.....so if this is an unreasonable request....let me know. Just don't know how easy or hard these programs are to use.

Now I don't need ANY plans or anything professional.....just a few rooms resized and saved back as a jpg. so we can see if the layout works for us before we start REALLY getting serious on a build.

Thanks for the help......and if I'm asking for the moon....please feel free to tell me where to go :D:D

There used to be an architect program you could pick up at office max or office depot. You can do some basic drawings with it. I think it was around 12 bucks several years ago. It will be limited in what it can do but you might check it out.

If all you have is a jpg then you'll be better off just using a photoshop program or something like that. AutoCAD is really not the program to use for jpg's. In fact, all I see in the AutoCAD import list is wmf.

Actually, I think Google has one themselves called Sketchup.

I used to do exactly what your talking about...A customer would bring a jpeg or a sketch of a floor plan in to me and i would have to draw it up from scratch...and make the changes from there...

But I no longer have that job and no longer have access to the architectural part of AutoCAD...

You can make some good money doing that stuff too...
I'd love to get my hands on a copy of the Architectural side of AutoCAD...anybody have any links???? Greatly appreciated...

I can take the .jpg file and convert it into a .tif file which will allow it to be opened in AutoCad and manipulated.
