Is the inside diameter of the tube which runs from the air cleaner to the throttle body actually 3.5" or is it a 3" tube all the way from front to rear?

I'm wondering if that is why people who installed the intake at the time of it's release were going into a lean condition.

Your help would be highly appreciated!

Mine tapers towards the TB side from the air filter. My guess is it's a MAF problem. Hmmmmm that makes me wonder about if mine is going lean.

I think the tube section where the MAF is mounted has to be the same size as stock or it will not give correct readings. The rest of it can be a larger size, but the MAF area will still be the bottleneck for airflow.

I was referring to what the ID of the tubing was, not how large the filter panel size of it was. Does it look 3.5" or 3"?

Yeah I'm just trying to figure out if thats why the trucks were going lean at the time, because they oversized the MAF area to 3.5" instead of 3".
