I've been getting better. I'm riding the vet track pretty confidently. I see the previous " tight opinion and agree more. Some jumps I'm having a lot of trouble picking up enough speed in short distances to clear. Everytime I give enough gas to clear I almost loop out in the air. I guess it's just going to take practice. My body isn't cooperating. (fat ass). I read that to counter having the end so high while powering over a jump means I'm not attacking " leaning forward" enough. My wife took video and I saw where I was going wrong. By the time I fixed my body positioning I was to tired to absorb landings and getting my ass kicked. Once I'm not so sore I'll be back to the track.

nice man! i really like that idea of having a ride day at the track! we got enough guys in socal who have bikes i mean cmon everyone rides! we need someone to set it up once the weather cools a bit prob in the next month or so
congrats on the accomplishment you should try out pala raceway, really reallyyy nice track, has a nice mix of jumps, hardpacked dirt, sand, looser gravel, rythm sections etc.. your normal track but one track i dont reccomned is lake elsinore motocross park, its a great track i love the layout but the dirt is a pain in the ass to clean off, and the maintanace on the tracks isnt the greatest but still a good place to ride but i reccomned pala raceway!

ruptured two discs in my lower back a few years ago in a street bike accident and its been getting really bad lately. bad enough i have spinal stenosis and a severely pinched sciatic nerve. years of craziness in high school/ college left me with a 50yr old mans back :(

Docs say my back will never be the same :pout:

im going to try to prove them wrong but riding dirtbikes is not an option for at least a year after surgery...

Ahhh, the good ol' days of racing at 4 corners, Sycamore Canyon Charity cross, somebody mentioned Jeremy Mcgrath, my Avitar pic with me high centered is on McGrath's practice/fuck around track near Campo,CA on his property/ranch. I'm too old & fucked up now to ride competetively with the youngsters on a closed track but I could probably give'm a run for their money on a fire road, haha :D Damn I miss it.....;)

I had a yzf 250 and a crf 450 and an old ass yz250. Still have my ktm 450exc By far I like my ktm the best. Best low end grunt and least maintenance. Actually the drz I have in ny has needed to least maintenance.

Rmz is a great bike but not enough hours on it to be concerned. Still has stock tires on it.

I also have had cbr1000, r6, gsxr1000, hayabusa, Honda interceptor and goldwing.

I like them all. FYI Suzuki engineers design kawi bikes.

I started racing atv motocross this year. I'm in upstate, ny. You'll find a lot of tracks have practice days where you can go and ride. Do a couple of them before you race, you'll find that racing on a track is a whole other world compared to trail riding.

I'm from Saratoga. There's barely anyplaces to ride in upstate. There's like 50 tracks in socal and they are always open for track days. Lol I miss ny but not for the lac of riding spots.

I rode from ages 5-20, raced tracks the majority of that time. Had a track in my backyard for a year or two as well.
