As long as it arrives at some point, and there are no issues with it. I'll be happy by the end. Seems like these are really the last of a kind for Toyota. He told me the similar-ish spec 2024 is going to be roughly $10k more than mine...I just hope everything goes as planned when it finally arrives.

Finally, took official delivery of mine today! My goodness she's a beauty. Little bit of a change of plans though, my original reservation still hasn't arrived, I was driving by a dealer near my work after grabbing lunch one day and saw my exact spec sitting there. Decided to stop by after work and see if they'd match my price/ if it was even available, even though this truck had more options they did match. Now the truck is sitting in my driveway. If I didn't get lunch that day I wouldn't have ever seen it. I think it was sort of fate hahah. Going to cancel my original reservation tomorrow. My wait is finally over.

Pretty wild! I wonder how many others are still bleeding through the system here in 2024. Considering they switched over to the 4th gen already

Ya not many off-roads remain. Mostly just a couple SR5s in my area is what I'm seeing. Definitely the last one from the dealer I went to.

Its too bad Toyota forgot how to design good halogen headlights! The headlights in the 2023 Tacoma SR are poor compared the my previous 2009 Tacoma which used the same bulb. The 'projector' headlights are too dim and only slightly improved by the dealer aiming them correctly. Even Consumer Reports rated the lights marginal. I'd try LED replacement bulbs but the headlight assembly is not designed for the beam pattern of an LED.

I'm glad I drove almost 5 hours to another state to get my truck instead of waiting for the local dealer I gave a deposit to get one in after reading this thread.

After driving a thousand miles I have found some point on these trucks to be fairly accurate. Like the gas mileage, feeling sluggish, and tight fit in back seat. But I really think it’s completely suggestive and everyone will have different opinions. Either way I am glad with my purchase and plan to enjoy many years with this vehicle.

Agreed, I honestly thought the back seat was tighter than it is, I'm 6' and with my seating position I fit fine in the driver seat and behind. I came from a Corolla so the "sluggish" feeling is not there for me. There was nothing more sluggish than a 100hp Corolla. But I get how people have that feeling. But it's a truck, not a sports car so to me I love the bulky feeling and strong sense I get from it, weird to explain I guess.

Nope hahah, never want the first year model of an overhaul, and the price was 10k more. I like the simple, tested NA engine/vehicle.
