After I bought my wife a Highlander and my Tacoma eight months later my ol neighbor tried to give me a hard time. I told him that I buy what I like and what is going to last. Then I told him that my Tacoma was made in Texas by Texans. Finally I told him, "Dude, shut your a$$, you don't even own a truck!"

    Not enough.
There is a side at my work, he doesn't say anything but you know he's thinking it.

Anyways he'd always mention how his dodge.1500 best this and that and how much he could tow. This always would happen when I was around. Now he's telling me that he wants one but bags on them for being too expensive. I told him you get what you pay for.

We should get small skull and crossbones decals and put several on the door. Then when someone starts to give you shit, just point to them and say "This is my running count of people I've murdered and buried across 3 states. They all gave me shit about my Toyota, too."

glad to see some input that although Toyota is a foreign name and makes such as Ford, Chevy, etc are American names a small amount of research will prove that the Toyota is much more "American made" these days than most any other truck.

Did he know you were racing him? Because stock vs. stock the Hemi Ram is faster than the Tacoma.

I never have, and I even have an American flag sticker on the back window. I always wonder if that pisses people off. Even my dad who is hard core buy everything American likes my truck, and he understands that I wanted to spend my money on a reliable truck. That to me is the most important thing, as to who gets my hard earned money. Make the best product, I buy it!

WTF does the phrase "non-domestic" mean any more? WTF does "built in America" even mean as far as that goes when the parts say hecho in Mexico or made in Canada on them? Anyone who cares enough for this to be an issue needs clarification on what the globalization of everything has done. The above phrases make no sense any more. This isn't the 60s/70s anymore. A lot of shit would have to be undone and brought back within our borders and a lot of foreign investment be scrapped before these phrases could ever make sense again, much less the patriotic use of them. Ignore the ignorant use of them for the time being.

Not really, because i drive a midsize not a full size truck. So domestic lovers know that their midsize trucks blow. But if i went with another full size, i'd get another F150.. I love the new FX4s... My uncle drives a 2010 F150 4x4 Lariat (SP?) and it's clean.

Yes. Im a co-founder and moderator for a local mustang board, and there were a few on there that gave me a hard time about my import truck. However, I love seeing the looks on their faces when they see all the cool toys the truck has, and what it is capable of.

My roommate drives a tundra, and the other week he got shit for it from some dude in a cavalier. This dude started shit with us at a football game in the beginning of the year, and when we saw him one of the girls couldn't resist saying something to him. Well, shit show started, and he eventually said something along the lines of its a pos toyota wanna-be truck.

2 years ago a buddy of mine rode out west with me on a hunting trip and complained the whole way about riding in a "Japanese" truck. Since then, his Z-71 chev (same age as mine) has blown the tranny, rear diff. and just recently the engine....go figure.
