Anyone ever try Goose Gear Seat Delete?

It would surprise me to find that they didn’t spray the liner in house, they move a lot of these panels and it would make sense to have an outside vendor doing that part

 

I got the Goose Gear setup for my 2021 SR5. Then I had a local trim shop cover all the exposed bolts and screws and covers. I think it came out beautifully, very pleased.
Pricey but well made and very tight fits into corners.

 

what was the cost for the covering?

For those with the double cab delete who bought them mainly for dogs - I found something that fits that space pretty well.

Just took off the 2 extra bolsters. I actually might flip the mattress around and keep one of the bolsters for a head rest incase someone needs to sit back there lol. This solution is perfect with the fam/dogs, and when I'm solo I can take it out if I want to.




And super easy access to the storage when needed.

Install with custom back panel including subwoofer enclosure. Dometic CFX3 45L fits perfectly on the other side of the enclosure and a Blue Sea power panel added to one of the lids powers it.

 

I used the smaller portion of the mattress from my roof top tent, ha. I replaced it with an Exped Megamat, so I had the 2" mattress just taking up space. I split the seem where it folded and the smaller side fits that location perfect. My dogs love it.

 

Picked up a used DC seat delete for $500 which at the time was a solid deal considering the cost of lumber. Made a custom HDPE electrical panel for it then threw in a fridge and subwoofer. I’m having an issue with the extrusion on the backside of the upright panel hitting the mounting screws for the rear cab window over bumps which makes a jarring banging noise.

 

If anyone is looking to sell their goose gear seat delete kit for a DC I would be interested!

 

Does anyone feel like they lose some storage with goose gear + dog bed on a DC?
One thing I like about seats + hammock is that you have a good section of storage between the front seats and the back under that hammock. Easily accessible. Ever pretty hidden. with the goose, it seems like you lose that large storage option for smaller pockets of storage. Is that right?

 

You have more total room with the seat coming out. Before you had a 12x12 section in front of the seat, but now you have a 6x6 section. That 6 inches in height was gained across the entire back section of your cab but you lost some of the footwell. It may be inconvenient to use it if you want to put something taller or wider than 6” but overall you have more useable space to put stuff, you may just have to reimagine how things fit.

 

It's a nightmare without the Dynamat. But afterwards, not bad at all. The rear speakers sound better.

 

Did everything fit how it was supposed to with the extra deadning? Specifically the 5 bolts on the back wall where the goose gear back plate screws in! I want to deaden the bottom of mine as well but worried its gonna push the plate up more and the holes wont line up with the threads for the back wall
