    what are you taking about... I-5 has never been shut down, lived here my whole life! in the last five years, only twice has it snowed enough that i would say you HAVE to have chains to go on the freeway! but it's NEVER closed... EVER

    yeah there are TONS of things to go riding on around here!!!! there are logging trails, mud pits, gavel pits, and hill climbs!!! all within about 30 min of downtown Bellingham! great place to wheel for sure!

    I've found lots of logging roads and I've found the spot off of Peace Portal. Where else is there to go get dirty? I'm still finding the limits of my truck, I'm a transplant from the VW world. I've never owned a truck, let alone a 4x4.

    Check out better off road in oak harbor had him do a few things for me prices are pretty reasonable and the owner is a solid dude. Its off Goldie road close to the base
