Has anyone from the Ontario area tuned their truck? Also just picked up my 2017 Ted pro a few months ago and would like to get a little better performance out of it

the guy i bought my SSO slimline bumper over by Caistor Centre mentioned that he's been running OVtune on his MT '16 for a bit now. He said it's worth getting without hesitation. Besides that, i've not heard of anyone else with it up here.

Granted i run an AT, so i wouldn't know how much better it is even if i tried his MT:notsure:

I've considered it. But with my addiction to power I know if I cross that line I'll soon be looking to supercharge or something and then ruin any reliability

I have not yet...I likely will as I already have the Tactrix cable so that should bring the OVTune cost down for me...I have however driven an OVTuned 3rd gen MT here in Toronto and I must say that it did have very impressionable results IMHO

I might do it eventually. I'm going to do gears first and see how it is

@Joe23 I have an Auto transmission
also waiting on the new supercharger, should be out in first quarter of 2020, have OVT dump tubes on the way as well. Hopefully I will find a good source for 4.88 gears as i would like to get a set for the truck as well.... Just don't want to have to get them out of the states..

What's the mpg like with ov tune? And what tire size

@PRO_Taco purchased 4.88's and had them installed at CT motorsports. The break in period takes some time, and is something you need to do very carefully. No issues after 2 years on them.

Same here - I had 5.29's and front locker installed in July by CT with no issues so far :fingerscrossed:

honestly haven't really been keeping track of MPG as I was really only wanting to help out with the terrible shift mapping, but just thinking from hauling my bikes to the track and back 3 times a week i did get an extra trip in there roughly between tanks so it did help MPG.. I'm running 265-75-16 Pro Comps

I think it works the same in the US as it does in Canada

I’ve been tuned for over a month now. Enjoying it, 2.0 final should be great.

It definitely has not dropped. I installed it just as the weather got cold so it's hard to say. Somehow i got under 11L/100km on my way to montreal 2 weeks ago, then 13.5 back (heavy headwind for half the drive back) averaging 120. It has much more torque at lower RPM and holds 5/6 much better on the highway. I can get on the highway without it having to rev up to 4k (unless it's a short on-ramp). It's got some balls to it.

might need to try this first before doing gears. I was going to regear to help compensate for the 33s and weight. it was usually ok with the 33s but since I added even more weight with the front bumper and winch its getting pretty bad

I'll be putting on 285's in the spring. You can drive it when I do to see if it's tolerable.
