... that wants a Tacoma? I'll be getting rid of mine in the next 2 months for a newer one. I'd love to cut the dealership from the equation because they give fuck all for trade-ins and I'm gonna be needing a double cab soon if you know what I'm saying...

You can look through the post history to see the mods and the problems it's had and I've fixed or made better. Long story short I've done quite a bit and that's one of the things dealers don't appreciate. If you have any other questions about it you can ask me directly and I'll tell you all I know. Some peel in the front end clear coat and new wheels and tires are the only things that have developed too recently for me to have any posts about.

Anyone got any leads on a 3rd Gen DCSB OR?

$12k will be my asking price. I figured I'd give you guys an early heads up since early/mid August is when I'll be ready to buy.

I'm sorta familiar with the truck. Well equipped and in good condition.

Oh hey man, glad you remembered me! Still deer watching?

Bill here helped me figure out a small vibration problem after a suspension lift. He was nice enough to meet me and drive it a bit to help diagnose.

Luckily (not really) for me that TSB about the ujoints kicked in a few weeks later in the form of them exploding and me getting towed to the shop. Luckily it disintegrated right past the tranny first so all the damage happened rear of there. Republic Diesel repaired the driveshaft, and 1 new CB, one flange yoke, and 3 ujoints later I don't have vibrations anymore lol.

I seem to remember making a post about it soon after it happened looking for that yoke. Toyota only wanted to sell the whole assembly or something stupid like that.

Still deer watching. We set a new record backin March. From Shelbyville Rd. to Bardstown Rd. we counted 247. The place is over-run with 'em.

I remember the truck being in very well cared for condition.

I haven't actually, I just put started this last weekend into really trying. I went for a couple of test drives on Labor day to see which mid-sized I want. Both dealerships I went to had salesmen that should've been on ADHD meds though lol.

That's one of the places I went. The guy was friendly enough but I couldn't get him to stop talking and the test drive was only like a mile so I didn't really get a good idea of how it drove. Can't blame him too much though, it was Labor day after all and I'm sure he didn't want to be there.
