My wife is looking to upgrade from an 09 Nissan Altima to a used Toyota Highlander. We are on a bit of a tight budget so the 4 runner is not in the cards. I've done a little research but haven't been able to find too much. Anyone have a review of theirs? Differences in certain years being better than others? Any known flaws we should keep our eyes out for?
    Any help would be appreciated.

My mom has one and it is a pretty nice vehicle for being a 2010. I have used it once or twice and it rides nice and smooth.

My wife and I have a 2004. It's her daily driver, and we really like it. We haven't had any major problems, and we're at ~155k miles. The issues we have had have been due to the previous owner's neglect of the vehicle. If it was up to her we'd keep the highlander forever.

Bottom line - I'd definitely recommend a highlander to anyone in the market for a SUV.

Thanks for the responses guys. Does anyone know when the last body/power revamp was done?

did some more research and it looks like '07 they did some pretty major upgrades. '11 they did a few minor upgrades with a much better exterior IMO, and have totally revamped it for '14. Thanks again for eveyones input. Now we just have to figure out what options are important to her and go from there.
