Ok, new member here, have a crazy issue, wanted to see if anyone has this problem. I have a 2015 TRD DC off road and once in a while, whenever i hit the right pothole or uneven pavement, or anything that makes the truck shake, i hear this random sound coming from the front passenger seat area, can't tell if it's from the seat or the door or what the heck it is. it doesn't do it everything, you just have to hit the uneven surface or pothole just right, almost sounds like a window vibration. But the sound seems to originate from the lower area behind the seat, hence the reason i suspect the seat. I inspected the seat, moved it up and down, shut the doors while sitting inside, and cannot replicate the sound to save my life (reason why i havent taken it to the dealer) Am i going crazy? what the hell could be making that. When it happens, its real quick and lasts maybe 2 seconds. Just irritating since truck is a 2015, I expect this from Chrysler, not Toyota.

Look under the seat itself for possible wire to heated seat rattling or shifting? Where is your jack stowed?

it's not the seat belt tab on the passenger side hitting the door panel is it? Sometimes mine will rattle if it's out of the little clip that holds it snug...

Also, look under the floor from the outside. there might be something striking the floor, like an exhaust hanger...

If you have pretty well eliminated anything inside causing the sound, that kinda narrows it down to something outside!

Have a passenger try to narrow down the source. Maybe he/she can feel it.

Yea I hear that now and than, and don't have the slightest idea what the heck it is. I just say I have a truck and it makes some noises. Oh well. Let me know if you figure it out. Sorry but thanks

Check the door hardware. I was hearing road noise from my door like the door wasn't closed fully. Turned out that the striker was loose. Tightened it up and door was tight as a drum again. It only took 12 years to loosen...

Remove the seat and see if the noise stops.

I too have a weird rattling noise that sometimes comes from the passenger sie of my 16 OR 4x4. It sounds to me like its the linkages inside of the door that come from the handle to the door latch. But when I slam the door its quiet only when I go over small bumps in the road. I looked at the 2 black little rubber bumpers that are on the door, and they are loose so I grabbed some Yamabond and removed the plugs and put a little on the backside and where it goes through the door. It seems to have helped. I also noticed that the seatbelt cover on the bottom of the door is really loose fitting, so I took some Yamabond and filled the areas where the clip is attached to the metal loop. I wonder if the resonance of the clip rattling is what i am hearing? I really dont notice the rattle sound when I have a front seat passenger, hence the seatbelt changing position on the door and putting some tension on the bottom plastic cover. I will report later if that is what takes care of the problem.

Hey ... buckle the front passenger seatbelt then ride around ( over some bumps ) and see if you still hear the sound. I had a rattling sound id hear only when going over a bump and it sounded like the door ... finally i realized i wouldnt hear sound when my wife was in passenger seat with seatbelt on ... it was then i discovered it was the buckle hitting up against that pad thing next to passenger seat when belt is not being used
... could be what you're hearing

Same here OP!! Same thing happens on my '15. It's pretty rare (a few times a month) but I have yet to figure out what it is. I just stopped caring at this point.
